5.0 out of 5 stars Nice paper for inexpensive note cards. February 2, 2007
I have used dozens of boxes of 100 with a epson 2200 to make note cards with my photographs. I have sold around 1600 of these cards and everyone is very happy with the images. I use the enhanced mat profile that came with the printer and increase the saturation by 10 and the contrast by 5. I use 720 dpi and high speed. I have tried higher resolution settings and tried printing at the slow speed but can not find any diffrence in quality. These cards are 4 fold size. I do have mat black ink installed with the printer.
I do have an Epson 7600 that I use for making my high art prints, but have loved the 2200 for the smaller jobs and cards.

Okay it is now Feb. of 2010 and I want to add to this review that I origionaly did several years ago.
I have now sold over 4700 note cards all printed on this paper with my Epson 2200. When I compare ones printed many years ago with the ones printed today there is no color shift, fading, discoloration, etc. They are still just as vibrant and appealing to the customers as the day they were created. Some of the people who have purchased my cards have framed them and display them on their walls. In addition to the cards, I have printed hundreds of other sheets of this paper for different purposes on the same printer. (I do see color shifting, fading etc. on ones I printed on the Epson 1270 many years ago before I got the 2200.)
Someone was having trouble with knowing how to set the Epson 2200 to print nicely with this paper. As I said above many years ago, I use enhanced mat paper at 720 dpi high speed for the quarter fold note cards. I sometimes increase saturation by 5 or 10 and contrast by 5. I have tried higher dpi settings but don't see a diffrence. Also turning off the high speed doesn't seem to make a diffrence on the note cards. If I am printing full sheets I would probably try a higher resolution and not high speed. Oh yes I also have mat black ink installed on the printer. I can help anyone who does not get wonderful prints with an Epson 2200 and this paper if you need me to. I usually use heavier mat paper for full sheets. The mat papers are stable and when framed under glass, look great, rich colors and are very stable over the years. I don't use more expensive glossy papers because when framed they don't look any different. Also glossy is not as durable and long lasting. I do admit glossy when not framed under glass has that special punch until they get scratched. Also I sell the note cards in a clear glossy plastic envelope so they look just as good on the display as a glossy paper. When taken out of the clear glossy envelope they still are bright, vibrant, and appealing.
I now use an Epson Stylus Professional 9900 for my fine art. I would like to sell my 7600 which still works perfectly. The 7600 is just smaller and slower with some fewer features as compared with the 9900. But I hope the Epson 2200 would continue to print as good as it has for all these years. I carry it back and forth from WV to Maine in my truck with heavy boxes of stuff on top. This is not recommended but this tough printer keeps going for my needs and will never be for sale.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good for Crafts and Photo Projects for school December 1, 2002

Think about it. The paper is 100 sheets for 11 dollars. That's VERY inexpensive for photo paper. I used this paper to make nice wrappers for around Hershey's candy to make favors for a 50th wedding anniversary. It is also great for making photo pages for the sports teams memory books. It is thin enough to not make the pages bulky, but thick enough to not let colors bleed through. I use it with an HP printer and it works great. I don't own an Epson, so I could not say how it works. I do know that it works great for sending a collage of photos to several people as it is inexpensive and the thickness makes it easy to fold into and envelope.(I did just that for Christmas cards) I would not use this for making long lasting photos, but if you want a better quality page than normal paper, this is the route to go!

4.0 out of 5 stars Great alternative to photo paper July 21, 2003
We used to print our marketing literature on glossy photo paper (architecture firm, lots of pictures). Tried this paper and loved it. The pictures are just as crisp with only a very slight color difference from the glossy paper, and it's about 75% cheaper.

5.0 out of 5 stars An excellent light weight matte paper
This 3 Star weight (Epson's quality/weight rating) paper is excellent for in-house use. We use the 4 Star weight if the print is going to a client. For the price, we love it.
