5.0 out of 5 stars Nice paper for inexpensive note cards.
I have used dozens of boxes of 100 with a epson 2200 to make note cards with my photographs. I have sold around 1600 of these cards and everyone is very happy with the images. I use the enhanced mat profile that came with the printer and increase the saturation by 10 and the contrast by 5. I use 720 dpi and high speed. I have tried higher resolution settings and tried...

2.0 out of 5 stars Ridiculously long (24-48 h) drying time
I've used numerous different Epson paper products and liked them all. But, this was my first (and last) purchase of Epson Presentation Paper - Matte. This paper is advertised as being for "everyday projects," but requires special handling: 1. Let paper dry for 15 minutes, 2. Put it on a flat surface and cover it with a sheet of plain white paper for 24 HOURS, 3. Check to...

5.0 out of 5 stars Nice paper for inexpensive note cards., February 2, 2007
This review is from: Epson S041062 Presentation Inkjet Letter Paper (100 Sheets) (Office Product)
I have tried higher resolution settings and tried printing at the slow speed but can not find any diffrence in quality. These cards are 4 fold size. I do have mat black ink installed with the printer.
I do have an Epson 7600 that I use for making my high art prints, but have loved the 2200 for the smaller jobs and cards.

Okay it is now Feb. of 2010 and I want to add to this review that I origionaly did several years ago.
I have now sold over 4700 note cards all printed on this paper with my Epson 2200. When I compare ones printed many years ago with the ones printed today there is no color shift, fading, discoloration, etc. They are still just as vibrant and appealing to the customers as the day they were created. Some of the people who have purchased my cards have framed them and display them on their walls. In addition to the cards, I have printed hundreds of other sheets of this paper for different purposes on the same printer. (I do see color shifting, fading etc. on ones I printed on the Epson 1270 many years ago before I got the 2200.)
Someone was having trouble with knowing how to set the Epson 2200 to print nicely with this paper. As I said above many years ago, I use enhanced mat paper at 720 dpi high speed for the quarter fold note cards. I sometimes increase saturation by 5 or 10 and contrast by 5. I have tried higher dpi settings but don't see a diffrence. Also turning off the high speed doesn't seem to make a diffrence on the note cards. If I am printing full sheets I would probably try a higher resolution and not high speed. Oh yes I also have mat black ink installed on the printer. I can help anyone who does not get wonderful prints with an Epson 2200 and this paper if you need me to. I usually use heavier mat paper for full sheets. The mat papers are stable and when framed under glass, look great, rich colors and are very stable over the years. I don't use more expensive glossy papers because when framed they don't look any different. Also glossy is not as durable and long lasting. I do admit glossy when not framed under glass has that special punch until they get scratched. Also I sell the note cards in a clear glossy plastic envelope so they look just as good on the display as a glossy paper. When taken out of the clear glossy envelope they still are bright, vibrant, and appealing.
I now use an Epson Stylus Professional 9900 for my fine art. I would like to sell my 7600 which still works perfectly. The 7600 is just smaller and slower with some fewer features as compared with the 9900. But I hope the Epson 2200 would continue to print as good as it has for all these years. I carry it back and forth from WV to Maine in my truck with heavy boxes of stuff on top. This is not recommended but this tough printer keeps going for my needs and will never be for sale.

4.0 out of 5 stars good for most things, June 27, 2000

This paper is great for most uses but it lacks the brilliant shine of the glossy paper. Images are a bit darker and more matted out. But over all I still say this is good for most uses.

Think about it. The paper is 100 sheets for 11 dollars. That's VERY inexpensive for photo paper. I used this paper to make nice wrappers for around Hershey's candy to make favors for a 50th wedding anniversary. It is also great for making photo pages for the sports teams memory books. It is thin enough to not make the pages bulky, but thick enough to not let colors bleed through. I use it with an HP printer and it works great. I don't own an Epson, so I could not say how it works. I do know that it works great for sending a collage of photos to several people as it is inexpensive and the thickness makes it easy to fold into and envelope.(I did just that for Christmas cards) I would not use this for making long lasting photos, but if you want a better quality page than normal paper, this is the route to go!

This is great for my purposes. I wanted paper that was lighter weight than the heavier matte papers, but I still wanted my photos to be crisp and vibrant. I am doing fliers with photos, and this paper is absolutely perfect! This is the Presentation Paper, Matte, and it prints EXACTLY like the 'Premium' (heavyweight) version. I have both versions, and I love both, but sometimes I don't want or need the weight or expense of the heavier papers. This one is 27 lb, the premium version is 44 lb. Both are great quality, and prints look exactly the same on both. The only difference is the weight.
One final note, these are NOT for two sided printing. The back side is a darker shade, and does not have the smooth finish. If you print on the back by mistake it will not turn out well. If I'm working in dim lighting I need to hold a back against a front so I can tell the difference for when I load my printer.

5.0 out of 5 stars Works best with Epson printers, August 23, 2006
This review is from: Epson S041062 Presentation Inkjet Letter Paper (100 Sheets) (Office Product)
When other papers print less than stellar photos/text on your Epson printer, this is the one that really shines! Bright, crisp, and clear text and photos make this the best all-purpose paper for Epson printers.

We used to print our marketing literature on glossy photo paper (architecture firm, lots of pictures). Tried this paper and loved it. The pictures are just as crisp with only a very slight color difference from the glossy paper, and it's about 75% cheaper.

2.0 out of 5 stars Ridiculously long (24-48 h) drying time, February 27, 2011
This review is from: Epson S041062 Presentation Inkjet Letter Paper (100 Sheets) (Office Product)
Check to see if covering paper exhibits waviness, and 4. If covering paper is wavy, replace it with a new sheet and wait another 24 hours. 24-48 hour drying times for "everyday projects" paper? Epson's highest quality coated photo paper dries faster.

Other issues: The paper is too flimsy for most presentations (40-50 lb weight is needed, this paper is only 27 lb). The paper is a rather dull white. Even with proper printer settings, the output was too saturated and too dark.

GREAT product! For my photo journalism, I prefer the Epson Presentation Paper 100-SHEET 8.5X11 Matte Premium Presentation Paper. Photos print clearly and the type is bold and crisp.

5.0 out of 5 stars Epson Matte paper, August 6, 2009

I use this paper for personalized calendars that I make for my family for Christmas presents. It is perfect!
I use photos on the calendars and they reproduce very well. The paper prints photos and graphics well and is not too heavy or thick when I laminate 2 pages back to back. Typical photo paper is too heavy or thick to use for lamination. I have used it on HP and Xerox printers, and have not noticed any difference in quality. I have never actually used it on an Epson printer! A very good product for a very good price.
