Graphic designers, photographers, and other printing professionals will want to check out the award-winning Epson Stylus Pro 5000 ink-jet printer. Quickly becoming the standard in proofing and printing, it features Epson's Micro Piezo DX3 print head, offering the same superior image quality that can be found in many higher-priced systems.

Printing at up to 1,440 x 720 dpi, the Stylus Pro 5000 uses Epson's six-color drop-on-demand ink-jet technology and prints on a wide variety of papers including transparency, glossy, matte, and various watercolor stocks. It can produce 8.5-by-11 edge-to-edge prints in less than two minutes and 8.5-by-11 photo-quality prints in less than three minutes.

The input tray has a capacity of 250 sheets with an optional 250-sheet cassette available. For maximum potential, the optional Epson RS-5000 Fiery LX RIP can also be added for printing over your entire network. The Stylus Pro 5000 is compatible with both Windows and Macintosh systems. --Emily Bakko
