I have an older Epson Inkjet. The local stores are no longer carrying this number of cartridge because of its age. So it was great to be able to find these on Amazon. Note that some merchants are selling these super-cheap. Ask about the expiration date before you buy one of the super cheapos! This was a fresh one, I purchased in 11/2011 from Amazon and it has a use-by date of 09.2013 so it should have some shelf life.

Came quickly and prints nicely - a nice dark black. Given the age of my printer, I was happy to find the necessary ink cartridge and have it work so well.

This black cartridge is very easy to use; I have an Epson Stylus C40UX and it is very user friendly, telling me when I need to put in a new cartridge, when/where to buy one, etc. I don't ever buy the off-brand ones because I did that once with a printer and had a very large cleaning bill. This just pops into place; very clean to manage.
