Epson T048920 Color Ink Cartridge Multipack

It doesn't take a genius to figure this one out, does it? If you have an Epson Stylus Photo printer from the R200, R220, R300, R320, R340, RX500, RX600, or RX620 series, you're going to run out of ink eventually. The only real bugaboo with these printers is the fact that you must have ink in every single cartridge (and there are six of them, counting the black cartridge) in order to print. Perhaps, if you have plenty of ink in five cartridges but are running low on, say, light magenta, it would make sense to go out and buy just the single replacement cartridge you need. More often than not, though, you probably run out of ink in most or all of the color cartridges around the same time. Adding up the cost of five individual color ink cartridges is not fun, especially if you have to drop a bundle on color ink when all you want to do is print in black only. What can you do? Read on.

First of all, go ahead and let it out - curse your printer and Epson for the high cost of ink and the fact that you can't even print a text document until you ante up for a bunch of weird colors like light cyan and magenta. That's Step 1. Step 2, which I would recommend just skipping altogether, is to take a gander at all of these cheaper third-party ink cartridges that are supposed to work just fine in your printer. You really don't want to go mucking around with any of that third-party stuff. Stick with the genuine article from Epson itself. Now you're ready for Step 3: hit the Internet and start comparing price information for online sellers, local office supply houses, etc. Unless something changes in the future, I can pretty much guarantee you'll end up at the page you're on right now. Buying all five color cartridges as a group is cheaper than buying them individually, and I doubt you'll find a better price than you'll find right here. Sure, it hurts to pay even this much for a bunch of stupid ink, but you really don't have a choice in the matter.

At least the ink cartridges are easy to change - and you won't even get any ink on your fingers doing it. And you know they'll all work just fine because they're genuine Epson ink cartridges. This multipack really is the only way to go.

Buying the ink for my RX600 in a multipack like this is a definite cost savings over buying the individual cartridges separately. I would have bought the ink from Office Depot or Staple's but they didn't have the multipack and their individual cartridges cost more than this multipack. Amazon.com wins again!

Of course using the ink that your printer requires is the only way to go when you are printing pictures from your computer. i really liked the idea of having all the colors in one package and the quality was great. the only thing i would have liked is a package that also included a black ink cartridge, i am sure there would have been a further savings, instead of a seperate purchase

Epson has come up with a smart item, for you get original cartridges at a good discount. Epson should add, however, a black cartridge, to make the buy smartest. Add the black and get a fifth star.

No doubt bout it...

After trying a cheaper imitation ink cartridge, I can now say that using Epson ink cartridges is the only reliable way to keep your printer working properly. This is mainly true for color accuracy of printed color material. Now I am convinced.

The delivery was fast. The product is what I would expect from Epson. A great product. You would get no complaints from me.

Be aware that there is no black cartridge included in this multipack--I didn't notice, and almost ordered it. You can get a better price per cartridge at S*ms Club, since their multipack includes all 6 carts. In fairness to Epson, however, I've found that if you do a lot of color photo printing, the black cart is used less than the other ones, so maybe that's why they make a multipack with no black.

Please be aware that this so called Multipack does not contain a black ink cartridge. I use my Epson R220 for photos only and the black is used up as quickly as the reds and blues. Be sure to order a seperate black ink cartridge.

The item is called "Epson T048920 Color Ink Cartridge Multipack". First of all there is not a black included in the pack. My bad for not seeing that. But, they call it an Epson product and what I got was a smashed box filled with all different cartridge labels. NOT one said Epson!! The package does not appear to be NEW a product. I believe this is a refilled product and feel I was misled by the title. Lesson learned! Will not order from them again. As long as I order directly from Amazon, I don't usually have a problem, but my experience has not been so good with other retailers....Just sayin'
