5.0 out of 5 stars Good price and for R800 or R1800
Under $11 is a good price for the Epson ink catridges and they work for the R800 or R1800, which I have, a great printer. The description doesn't say for the R1800, but it is, says it right on the packaging. I've paid $13-$15 elsewhere when needed at last minute.

I seem to use more yellow cartridges than any of the others.

3.0 out of 5 stars Great Ink, Horrible Costs
Epson makes a fine printer, though probably not the best. I continually get banding and bluish prints out of it my R1800. It also clogs up all the time, so I have to run constant cleaning utilites which uses up all my ink...which leads to this review. There are SEVEN total ink cartridges and each one costs over $13.00. This seems reasonable enough except that I'm always...

What's to say about this. It is a genuine Epson cartridge that saved me a longish trip to computer store. Recommended.

This seems reasonable enough except that I'm always running out and constantly ordering more ink. I print a fair amount of prints and proofs for my clients and but it's ridiculous how little ink there is in each cartridge. I spent $500 for my printer and in the last three years I've spent well over $1000 in ink, plus all the paper I buy to reprint messed-up prints caused by clogging. This printer It's a rip-off and a scam and I intend to toss it out ONLY because of the ink costs.

4.0 out of 5 stars use the real stuff, July 6, 2011
This review is from: Epson Yellow Ink Cartridge (T054420) (Office Product)
photo printers are a bit of a logistic headache, with all the separate ink cartridges. how annoying it is to get some refilled junk from a local computer store that won't let you print. assuming that Amazon never sells refills, i.e., only sells factory new cartridges from the original maker, that is the only way to go.
i cannot objectively compare Epson inks to alternative products, but i know they give me excellent results for the most exacting requirements that i have which is reproducing photographs.

5.0 out of 5 stars Epson printers and Epson inks make great photos, December 27, 2010

I am a fine artist and have two Epson printers, the R300 and the R1800. The printers combined with genuine Epson ink make excellent reproductions of my art work. The longevity of the ink for the R1800 is key for limited editions. I highly recommend this ink.

3.0 out of 5 stars Ink is just expensive, August 25, 2009

It's how the printer companies really make their money. I cringe that it costs me $120 to replace all of my ink cartridges on my Epson R1800 and I never get as many prints as I think I should. A necessity for sure, there is no way around buying these things, I just wish they were a little cheaper. The quality of the inks are very good though and the prints I get from the R1800 are outstanding.

I don't think this ink requires any comments. Its genuine from Epson, period. It's perfect for the Epson printer it's designed for. I don't have a problem using third-party inks on my cheap everyday printers. But for professional quality jobs on a pretty expensive (at least when we bought it a few years ago) Epson Photo R1800 -- genuine ink is the only way to go.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best ink prices, February 15, 2008

I've tried "compatible" ink cartridges and the results are often poor, wasting money and ink. I've also had compatible cartridges leak ink all over the desk. I only use genuine Epson cartridges and Amazon has the lowest prices and fastest delivery. Free super-saver freight keeps the costs low (so make sure they are being sold by Amazon.com and not another vendor selling through Amazon.com).
