5.0 out of 5 stars Bring back McCall!, January 22, 2003

Oh, please release The Equalizer on DVD, complete seasons. It is an excellent show and I can't find it anywhere on TV anymore. I miss it a lot. "Manon" is a pretty good episode, but as others have stated here, not the series best. The show touted some excellent guest actors over it's run. Everyone should watch it if they get a chance. Fans of Woodward should check out the movie "Mister Johnson," with Pierce Brosnan.

4.0 out of 5 stars Other Episodes Should be Released, November 2, 2000
This review is from: Equalizer: Memories of Manon [VHS] (VHS Tape)
Like the earlier reviewer, I feel that this one does not showcase the great writing and acting of this moderate "hit" from the 80's. Edward Woodard is excellent as the enigmatic Robert McCall, vigilante with a hidden agenda directed against his former employers - a cleverly disguised "take" on our own CIA.

For the uninitiated, this tape is entertaining, but there are so many other installments that are much more satisfying. However, "Memories" is still a good introduction to one of television's "coolest" characters.

5.0 out of 5 stars Equalizer: Memories of Manon, May 24, 2004

My husband is the all time biggest fan of the equalizer. He once had a toothache and he called me at work and asked me to make him a dental appointment. I called him back to say they could see him at 3pm and he refused to go because the equalizer was going to begin at that time. I made him tape the episode so that he could keep the appointment! (Mind you, it was a re-run but that never seemed to matter to him!) He always used to sit and "analyze" the episode after it ended. He finally turned me into a fan too! Please consider putting the episodes on DVD for each season, my husband would love me for a million years if I bought them for him!
