CATATONIA DO IT AGAIN!,
By A Customer
This review is from: Equally Cursed & Blessed (Audio CD)
Catatonia's latest album 'Equally Cursed And Blessed' is the long awaited follow up album to the acclaimed and, frankly spectacular, 'International Velvet', and as such ran the slight risk of not living up to expectations. Not so! Equally Cursed And Blessed is another example of Catatonia's seemingly boundless talents, with sounds ranging from rock ( Storm The Palace) , to mildly Gaelic ( Valerian), through to disco (Karaoke Queen). Other tracks such as Bulimic Beats ( complete with delicate harp accompaniment) , Nothing Hurts, Londinium and Dead From The Waist Down show off the band's lyric writing skills and Cerys' amazing vocal abilities to the max, with the excellent track Dazed, Beautiful and Bruised bringing this brilliant album to a close. In a nutshell, if this album doesn't bring Catatonia the success and acclaim that 'International Velvet' brought them, then it will be a huge travesty. It's absolutely brilliant and deserves every success. I said it about 'International Velvet' and I'll say it again. Miss it, miss out!

When will America get it?,
By A Customer
This review is from: Equally Cursed & Blessed (Audio CD)
Once again the Brits have us beat with their taste in music. This album is brilliant yet you can't even get it here without buying it on import. If your tired of listening to the same American rehash we've been hearing ever since "Nevermind" give this a try. You won't regret it
