This product does what it's supposed to do, thickening my age-related thinning hair. My hair growth was noticeable in one month, a much shorter time period than I expected or which has been reported by the scientific literature.

However, as a health care provider, I do advise some caution and I recommend that anyone who is considering this treatment seek medical evaluation first (just like I did for myself) to rule out causes other than age-related hair loss (also called androgenetic alopecia). For example, if your thinning hair is due to a thyroid disorder, you could waste significant time and money using the wrong treatment for the wrong reason.

Another caveat is the need to commit to a twice a day treatment for life. If you stop, you lose hair again. I had to balance the need to commit to a treatment with the desire for an efficacious treatment. If you wait too long in the process of losing hair, the drug won't be as effective, but if you start too soon, you'll never know if you really needed it (another reason to get a medical opinion). These are general treatment issues, however, and not really related to the quality of this particular product.

Personally, I'm happy with the product, glad for the savings of an effective generic, and I plan to reorder it again.

I've used this product for a month and a half after I noticed my hair thinning. I have had noticed and ignored clumps of my hair in the drain for years. I don't notice hair growth yet with this product,too soon, but no more clumps of hair. That is such a relief. At least I'm not losing it. I'll report back in a year. Using it a.m. and p.m. is not so bad either. It takes less than a minute. I bought disposable medical gloves so I don't grow hairy palms! Much less of a burden than taking care of my teeth and skin! Read the warnings though. I think if you have high blood pressure or other conditions you shouldn't use this. Also make sure that it is not your thyroid or lack of nutrition that is causing your hair loss. Eat well along with using this. Good luck all. This product would have a five star review if it wasn't for the other review who is reviewing the seller and hasn't even used the product yet.

This is just as good as Rogain and a lot less expensive. I am very pleased.

I was experiencing significant hair loss in the front of my hair line due to several factors. One of my male friends recommended I try this treatment I did and voila! I have been using this for 2 months now and have thick hair regrowth that is almost an inch long! Even though my hair loss was not that bad I still felt really horrible about it. It started with thyroid issues and even when those went away it never stopped. I highly recommend at least trying this if you are experiencing hair loss the cost is and effort are well worth the hair!

I used this product for several months and saw some hair regrowth. I also saw several visits to the ER and cardiologist. This product caused racing heart and heart palpitations. Be careful with this product!!

I'm one of the lucky ones for whom minoxidil works. However, I may have to stop using it because after a few months of use it began to cause very uncomfortable itching. It would get four stars if it weren't for that. I'll be looking for a source for minoxidil without the propylene glycol, which apparently is the cause of the itching.

no need to buy the expensive equivalent of this... this works and my hair has grown back. just be careful not to get it on your face or other facial areas because it would grow hair there, too. seems like my side hair, which men call sideburns grew some, coz the liquid would trickle to that area of my hair! one time my hubby said: hey, you're growing sideburns! *lol* I've cut it since then. Just apply it directly to where you need hair to grow. great product!

I was going through hormonal changes due to going off birth control pills, and was losing large amounts of hair because of it. Although this product does not stop that from happening (it is not intended to), I did definitely see new growth while using it. This is most apparent right by my hairline, but I am sure that it was just as effective over my entire scalp as well.
