When you think Omar Tyree, naturally your going to think fiction. Well that is not the case any longer. Tyree's book delivers a fresh lens for how to attain success as an entrepreneur or a business leader. Tyree's "Equation" provides a simple yet powerful way to develop a strategy to achieve in your business venture or your career. The book makes no wild assumptions. It provides clear theory and backs it up with case study after case study. A good read.

If you are looking for business success this is the book for you. It is inspirational, thought provoking, very clear and an easy read. I look foward to reading more like it in the future. Keep up the great work,and keep the business knowledge coming.

I recently purchased and read "the equation" and I find it to be the last word of business ethics and management. It is inspirational, easy reading and thought-provoking: and I believe it is a "must have" book to invest in.

This is the first business book by Omar Tyree. He is a man with a mission and this book is motivating, enlighten and life changing. It will clarify your thoughts, focus your desires and spark your dreams to get more steam. Love this book. Hope to see more like this from Omar. This is his assignment for such a time as this. This book is a book that surprised me from start to finish. I found this book to spark my interest both emotionally and financially."The Equation" was actually the first book I've read by Omar Tyree. I've always thought of his book being for women because I always thought of the books as being full of drama. I was in search of a book that I could relate to as an African-American man looking to break into the corporate world. Tyree really breaks down barriers in "The Equation" and goes on to great detail how "The Equation" can be applied to your life. I enjoyed this book, because he spoke directly to men interested in breaking away from the mundane grind of a 9 to 5. I like that even the examples that he gives throughout the novel. They help in establishing a connection between where you're at now and where you want to be. Tyree allows the reader to see that with passion, dedication, motivation, determination and other important characteristics your idea of success is attainable. Please sit down and dissect this book page by page and bring a pen and paper. Write down every definition and look closely at the examples given in each chapter. If you're a business major or entrepreneur that is wondering what it will take to be success in your particular field, read "The Equation." After reading it, you will know where you're at in your career, if your passionate about what you want to do, and where you want to go next. Love/Art*Support=Success

the author cam to my university to talk about the book at the end he was selling it for $20. he is truly a hustler got me a dude who has only read the harry potter series to buy his book. i recomend it because he uses the same techniques and tactics that are described in his book.

Having read several of Omar Tyree's novels, I was always impressed with the way he was able to help me visualize and become a part of the story. Just recently, I picked up The Equation, Omar's first business book, and was able to read half of the book in one day, which is quite an amazing feat for me, being that most business books are really dry and not conversational at all.

But Mr. Tyree not only brought his knowledge of business and lessons learned, but his conversational writing style to this, his first crossover piece. Anyone and I mean anyone, regardless of background or profession can relate to this book. I was curious to learn what an equation had to do with business and being successful in it, but as I began to delve into the book Mr. Tyree explained the importance of the equation L/A*S=B and its components love, art, support, and business.

He began to explain how in order to be successful at something you must first love that task and then become the best of the best at your art, whether it's building houses, writing grants, or making sandwiches. He then went on to explain the importance of gaining support for your art and how all these components combine to equal big business. I really loved that he chose, not only to use his own story, but to make the equation and its components real to anyone by incorporating case studies from notables such as Michael Jordan, Donald Trump, Paul Newman, Jay-Z, Mary Kay and many, many more.

Also discussing the importance of characteristics like responsibility, excellence, commitment, and purpose, Tyree shows how these elements and many more are necessary in business and how the people presented in the case studies have used these elements to become the successes they are today.

I truly recommend this book to anyone on the road to success and aiming to rise to the ranks of Donald Trump, Enzo Ferrari, and Barack Obama, the purple people.
