Fae Sutherland has always dreamed of being a published author, starting her writing career off at age 11 with a series of stories she charged her classmates a dollar to read. She has since progressed to more serious writing, though always keeping that dash of irreverence and fun (and a hell of a lot more heat!). Also, she charges just slightly more than a dollar now.
Fae is perhaps best known for her books co-written with fellow M/M romance aficionado, Marguerite Labbe. Together they are the award-winning, bestselling authors of over a dozen novels, novellas and short stories. Currently, Fae is focusing on solo work and has a multitude of upcoming books in the pipeline.
When Fae's not working on new stories to make her readers sweat, she loves website design, spending too much time on Twitter, and watching oodles of Food Network with her beloved life partner. If there's any time left over, it's spent snuggling the cat.
This is a sweet little story with Pretty Woman over-tones. There is a very light, sugar-kink, BDSM theme but nothing too scary. It was a nice read but I found it hard to truly submerge myself in the story. I kept on having thoughts like "Oh this reminds me of xyz book; or xyz movie". I had to really struggle to pull myself back into the book. For that reason I couldn't really enjoy the it. I'm not 100% convinced that this was my fault but am willing to concede that it is if the book gets predominantly 5 star reviews from other readers. I wouldn't say 'don't read this book', but I would hesitate to recommend it highly because I think there are better books out there. It is a light fluffy read; but nothing spectacular.
I purchased this book before I even finished the free sample. It drew me in unlike any book in this genre for a long time. I fell in insta-love with both characters and proceeded to stay up half the night to finish it! It was that good!

The only reason I did not rate it 5 stars was because I would have loved to see a bit more of the "outside" world fleshed out. Don't get me wrong.... I loved learning how "to be gay" right along with Skye and I was thrilled to watch Skye come undone at Liam's hand. The limited time frame and male escort/paying client situation made for a more character focused story and while it was an exceptional story, I tend to prefer a broader view of the world in which I am delving into. With that said, Liam was absolutely my favorite kind of Dom. He was sweet and caring while firm and focused. His determination to make sure Skye not only knew how to find and give pleasure was second to his need to teach him how to play safe. He was teaching him self-confidence and self-worth and I loved him for it. I am not a big fan of the "pain just because I wanna give it and you're gonna take it" Dom/sub type books and this book was far from that. Skye, with his innocence and questions and analytical mind was a refreshing change from the typical "lost sub" and Liam with his heart of gold and humor was in my opinion the best kind of Dom. This book made me laugh, touched my heart, even made me wanna slap Liam a time or two <lol> and that's the best kind of thank you I can give to the author. I would have loved to see what the future held for these two.... This book is a total keeper and I am already on reread number 2!
Probably one of the best books I've ever read. You know when some stories have more romance than sex? Or when they have more sex than romance? Yeah, well this story is just the perfect balance between these too. A good 90 percent of the story is sexual. A sizzling, mind-blowing, made my heart beat faster and my toes curl kind of story. And yet, because of the situation of their "relationship" - escort vs client -, it's through sex that their feelings toward each other develop, from the very first encounter. So even if sex is omnipresent and contains BDSM, there is such tenderness between them that even though you can't forget the nature of their relationship, it makes the very sexual encounters balance perfectly between sweet and sexy.
The only flaw I find is very personal. Since the entire story is about the growth of love through sex, I would have liked to know how their change of relationship status, and their declaration of love affected their sexual life. Haha!! Like I said, it's very personal, it's not really a flaw. Maybe I just didn't want the story to end, maybe I just got addicted to the sexy part of the story... probably both.
I think I will re-read it many times in the future. Congratulations to the author!
Skye McCord is a mathematical genius, a self acknowledged geek, and a virgin. With the conclusion of years and years of college, as well as a prestigious new job locked in, logic dictates he use his generous signing bonus to learn the intricacies of sex and remove his status as a virgin.
Several years ago Liam Maddox lost his business due to the failing economy. Liam decided to pursue a somewhat unconventional way to earn a living by becoming a professional escort for hire. Legal in Vegas, Liam's new career doesn't cause his conscience any problems and he's good at it.
Liam's initial appointment with the new client goes off without a hitch though Skye's detailed plans to learn everything will definitely require a "pro's" hand to guide him. As their sessions proceed Skye and Liam's relationship begins to cross that invisible line towards love and forever. It's time to call a halt before someone ends up with a broken heart. Unfortunately it may already be too late.
A tantalizing blend of tender carnal knowledge and wickedly hot sensuality, Equation For Love satisfies on every count. The main characters are complex, intelligent men who complement each other perfectly. For Skye and Liam a mature business proposition transforms into an intense, sensitive romance to enjoy in Equation For Love. There's no going back once the first lesson begins.
