Equestrian Events is an informative book about olympic events involving horses. It has wonderful color photos and has a great overview of information. It describes each daily event and some other popular equestrian contests that are not in the Olympics. It would be great for the young rider who wants to know more about horses. This book is one of a series. I think it is a wonderful way to make the Olympics a learning experience and introduce each event well. I would disagree with the age suggestion. I would encourage this book for a 6-9 year old. The large print and the overview vs details is more appealing to younger children. It would also make a good book to read aloud to a classroom. |
