The clock features an integrated sensor that perceives when dusk falls to turn on the clock’s auto backlight, and to shut it off at dawn’s break. Encompassed by a sleek silver frame, the clock face is adorned by large, black roman numerals. Black metal hands tick off the time by the hour, minute, and second. To keep steady time, the clock has an analog quartz movement. This clock requires the separate purchase of four AA alkaline batteries. Covered by a limited warranty, the clock is designed for indoor use only. The wall clock measures 12 inches wide by 2 inches deep by 12 inches high and weighs 2 pounds upon shipping.

I was surprised to find this clock has a durable brushed metal frame and a decorative look and feel. But the best part is that the face lights up at night so you can view the time in a dark room. It's run on batteries so there is no cord to run down the wall. I had not seen a clock before with this feature, but it comes in handy. A good value.

If you ever wanted to know the time in a dark room and you don't like turning on bright lights in the middle of the night then this clock is for you. The backlight isn't too bright, but the design allows you to easily tell the time and I love the look of the design as well. Both in day and night this is a stylish clock that will suit most decors. Another one of my favorite things about this clock is the smooth-turning second hand which produces no clicking sounds. When you order online that's one of those things that is hard to find out, so hopefully others can benefit from that info while making their purchase choice. I would definitely recommend this clock to anyone.

The clock is beautiful! But in night glow mode it is almost impossible to read from across the room. So if you want it for close up it would be fine.
