I purchased this power adapter over the ones directly from Toshiba because of price. $19.99 or so verses over a $100.00. I decided to take the $19.99 one and it works just fine. The cord is smaller but, again, I am not too concerned about it. It works and I saved a bunch of money. I would buy from this seller again.

In about a week I would have had this power adapter for 2 months. So far, I am very pleased. I have a Toshiba Satellite P205-S7476 and I dropped the adapter accidently causing it to stop charging so I was happy to find a low cost replacement. It's a little bit bigger but actually stays a lot cooler than my original! The only downside is that the cord is shorter than the original but I've attached an appropriate extension cord and haven't fretted over the shorter cord one bit.

Bought this item 5 mos ago. Worked fine, I was happy about the price. BUT the metal tip (the part which plugs into the laptop) pulled away from the wire. So I'm looking for another replacement while I check on the warranty for this one.

This 30 dollar replacement runs cool to the touch, powers the unit and charges the battery without a hitch. I'll just say it the oem unit that comes with the toshiba p200 is inferior to this replacement, the oem unit runs very hot to the touch costs $150 from toshiba and doesn't even have a led light. Cheapest I could find a toshiba brand oem replacement was $89 I could buy 4 of these instead and I would too!

I think the other reviewer may have purchased this when it was $40. I think it's a great deal for $20. It works with my Toshiba Satellite A-215 great (sometimes it doesn't start charging for awhile after I plug it in, but it will still keep the computer from dying).

The cord is a little bit shorter, and the box part is bigger than the original one I had, but these don't matter much to me.

Overall, I love paying $20 for this one rather than $100 for the official Toshiba one.

I'm waiting for this particular adaptor to ship from my home to my APO in Kuwait. I bought the same model and everything a few months back and it worked great. Came in a good box and worked perfectly on my laptop... it worked so well my friend decided that she wanted to keep it for me, haha. It is a bit large, but I really don't care, as long as it works. It doesn't have the 90' bend like the stock adaptor had, but again, I don't care, as long as it works. I'll update this review if anything goes wrong with the new adaptor, but as it stands, from past experience, it's a good adaptor and well worth the money.

Works for my Toshiba Satellite A215 laptop. Cord length is decent. Wish these plugs were more durable.

This power adapter is very reasonably priced. It appears to be more stout than the original.

I bought this cord after my original Toshiba cord stopped working. It worked for about 2 weeks. I've decided that it might be worth it to pay the big bucks for Toshiba brand.

I have a Toshiba Satellite A205-S4607. After my AC adapter died I bought this item from Accessory Genie. The product fits fine and charges my laptop with no issues.

The Length of the power cord is pretty short (compared to the original one that came with the laptop) which means you lose the freedom of moving your laptop around. It has a 3 Pin plug and my original had 2 pin. The wire is thicker and stronger but is little less flexible. The adapter Box itself is much bigger and is heavy (heat has nto been an issue yet). It has "For Compaq" written on it.

It works but don't like the way it is build. For the price, One can live with it and work around the above design issues.

UPDATE - 01/02/2010 - The cable connecting the power outlet to the AC adapter has come lose. The laptop loses power because of the bad connection now. When I bought this I realized that this was not good product but bought it because the original from Toshiba was pretty expensive. Bad move and now I will have to spend money on another one. I suggest that you look for another brand or even spend bit more and buy the original.
