At first, I got all excited because eragon has always been one of my favourite books. I bought the game and was quite impressed, at first, it was very difficult but then I was hooked! I was still very dissappointed though, because for the whole game, you were Saphira and could not swordfight like Eragon with Brom.

usally when you buy a game of a movie it is pretty boring and is quick to finish. In eragon there are probably over 20 mini-games all of them are good fun. I wosay the grapics are ok but not the best, but gameplay is awsome and there is loads to do.

I have to admit I was shocked. I initially had this game bought for me as a present AFTER I already had the Xbox game for Eragon. I thought it would be much of the same game just shrunk down for the PSP. I was VERY wrong and I am never so glad I was mislead as in this case.
---- Controls: 4/5 The Controls were very easy to learn which was pleasing but they had one downfall it was difficult to use them quickly and effectively in some cases. Spells, arrows, fire breath were all easy to use but casting and then guiding Brisingr onto very small targets from the sky was an extreme difficulty. Sometimes it was hard to fly a dragon around the map if things got tight quickly. Premise: 5/5 I was thrilled when I realized that Eragon for the PSP was entire campaigns from Saphira's point of view. Everything you do in the game is with you as Saphira - it made me feel like the whole game was really from the eyes of a dragon. The idea of flying and doing things around whatever Eragon was made the story feel fresh to me. It is like this game was telling the "untold" side of the story that the book and game didn't quite capture fully. Story Mode - Plot Campaigns: 4/5 > Close to Home > Burning Bridges > A Dragon Rider is Born > A Second Rescue > Escaping Durza > The Road to Farthen Dur > Battle Under Farthen Dur > Final Battle > Durza's Beast A lot of the plot campaigns are things that followed the book or the movie in particular. For example, in the movie Eragon was inside Helgrind freeing Arya and in one of the levels you sense trouble and go through the fortress to rescue him. Unfortunately once I completed the story levels most of them I didn't even bother going back to. Some levels just could be frustrating as more and more things were piled on (in the case of the third level/tutorial) Multiplayer: 5/5 THIS is where I spent a majority of my game which is unusual. I don't usually take to Multiplayer and I like the story mode of games better but this was so fun that I learned fast about how to play it and did it again and again. Multiplayer can be done with other players OR with AI Riders. It often pits you as Shur'tugal against the Forsworn. Both sides are on dragon back and you and your rider (w/ or w/o a partner in some cases) do whatever Multiplayer game it is. The types of multiplayer games: > Deathmatch > Rescue the Maidens > Last Dragon Rider > Dragon Totem > Pillage and Burn > Butcher's Quest > Supremacy > Demented Doves > Ruler of Alagaesia are varied in their nature and objectives but no matter how many times I played them, whether I won or was beaten, I kept at it again and again because it was GREAT fun! For me the "lasting appeal" of the game was the multiplayer half. When you successfully "master" the different SIX respective Arenas: > Palancar - Hide & Rock Dragon Armor > Daret - Leather Rider / Dragon Armor > Plains - Wood Rider / Dragon Armor > Gil'ead - Chain Rider / Dragon Armor > Beor - Bone Rider / Dragon Armor > Farthen Dur - Enchanted Rider / Dragon Armor you win Rider or Dragon Armor (listed beside the respective arenas) that you can use in the Multiplayer games to protect yourself better against your opponents. You can even mix and match the armors in a customizable fashion to suit your battle style and unlock other types of "secret" armor combinations. ---- In closing I would like to admit I HIGHLY recommend this game. It is made very well for the PSP, I wish they would take it to a larger console so it could be enjoyed there but in the interim I am pleased for what I have on my portable gaming system. <3

The game was sent to me like it was brand new, although it had been used. I thank the sender. But playing it was another story. I was expecting to be able to play as Eragon, but you only play as Sefeira, so you are constantly flying, helping Eragon shoot arrows, and eating animals/people to stay alive. Not as fun as I thought it would be.
