This Doll carrier is my 6 year olds new favorite toy. It fits her perfect and would fit her for at least 2 more years. It would fit any child ages 2-8 maybe even 9. Construction is durable just like the grown up ergo. Works perfectly with American Girl "Bitty Baby", who is a 15 in. doll.

I bought this for my 2 year old daughter, who became jealous that she had to give up mama's back for baby sister. She carries her dollies in it almost every day, all around town! It fits her very well too, and she is of average size. I'd guess it would fit anywhere from a 2-9 year old without any trouble. I love the built in pocket to put the baby in before it goes on her back. It makes it easier for her to put it on when the baby doesn't fall out! She has put everything from a tiny beanie baby to a 22" (creepy) doll from her grandma's childhood in there with no problem.
I took the velcro strap that was the box handle it was packaged in and sewed one side in a loop on one of the ergo straps (not actually sewing it TO the strap..you still want it to move up and down) and this has made it really easy for her to connect the "chest strap" just like the real ergos. Because it is attached to one side, once she has both shoulder straps on I just loop the free side under the opposite shoulder strap and velcro it in place! Without this it was constantly falling off her little shoulders. But I think even without this it would work fine for a bit older child. I am now going to have to get one for my other two girls, as the oldest is jealous, and I can't leave the baby out! That will make us a 5-ergo family!

I want to say I love it because I love Ergo, it is adorable, and a perfect companion for our 3-year-old daughter to wear with her dolls to match Mommy. However, there needs to be some type of strap/clip to cinch the over-the-shoulder fabric closer together (like the adult version). My dd rarely wears hers long because the straps are always falling off her shoulders. I love the idea though so I think I'll have to sew some type of cinch-up strap to it for her to be able to keep it on.

Best doll sling out there!,

Purchased this for my 2 1/2 year old daughter. She LOVES it. I wanted to get her some doll accessories as she plays with her dolls so much and she will probably still be playing with them for a few years to come. The doll sling is exactly like the real Ergo with the exception of not having the top back buckle & there is a pocket for the doll to slide into inside the pouch, with holes for legs. As my kid is a small toddler, the shoulder straps do slide off so I use a piece of ribbon and tie it together for her across her back, which works perfectly. A hair clip would also be a solution if you have this problem. I bought her the pink floral patterned one, the fabric is far nicer in person than in the pictures. It's vibrant & modern, super cute! Looks Amy Butler-esque. This was her Easter gift and she plays with it often. Her Corolle & Baby Alive dolls fit nicely in it. I think most average dolls would. It's great quality, no skimping. My friend has the Corolle sling and we both agree that the Ergo beats it hands down in design, fit & quality. Glad I got it!

First thing you should know is that the boxes says "The essential carrier for dolls under 4 years old!" making it sound as if it is only for small children. This is not true. My daughter got it for her 5th birthday and she LOVES it. The little girl across the street is 7 and still uses hers. Second (and most important), several users complain that the straps fall off the shoulders because there is no attachment around the straps. One should notice that the handle on the box is velcro, and the same material and color as he straps. We use this extra strap with velcro to keep that should straps on. It looks just like mommy's and is easily removable when the child needs it to me. I quickly stitched this strap to the should straps so that it did not get lost. It is perfect. My daughter is so pleased now that she no longer has to figure out how to make a carrier out of a bulky blanket every day.

My daughter loves playing with her "real life" doll carrier. It looks like the real thing. You can wear it in the front or on the back. It is easy adjustable for a comfortable fit. I would recommend this product to any little girl who likes to play with dolls.

My son is nearly 3 and we've had this toy carrier for a few months. He LOVES to carry his dolls around in it and look in the mirror. Ours came with a chest clip sewn on, which from what I understand is a new addition. I have everything tightened to the smallest setting, so I'm sure he'll get plenty of use from it. Warms my heart to see how well he takes care of his dolls and stuffed animals knowing he learned such things from me.

Just ordered two of these - pink and purple - for my girls. As of this review you will find pink cheaper from cloth diaper natural mom type sites. Just fyi. Purple is sold out almost everywhere with restocking being dicey before January. If you find it odds are it will be priced high but if you want it that's what you're gonna have to pay if you want it for Christmas. I was a little nervous reading reviews that some have the chest strap and some do not - the purple seems to be a new color so I am assuming all purples have the chest strap, but I think pink is being discontinued which makes it something of a wild card. Are they all old stock? Are they still being made? I don't know. Our pink came today and it has a chest strap! Still waiting on the purple, as well as Christmas to come to actually give these to the girls. It seems to be well made and it's very cute. How much use your child gets out of it will of course depend on how much your child likes it, which no one can really predict. My girls are 3 1/2 and really getting into caring for their dolls lately, plus they have a little brother who I carry in a real-baby Ergo, so I am thinking they will enjoy these a lot. Everyone's mileage will vary but it is well made and newer versions DO have a chest clip. Updating to say purple has arrived and it has a chest strap as well so I am assuming all recently made ones have chest straps. Now I just hope my girls like them and I don't find them trying to carry their brother around! :-D I had thought about getting these last year but I think they were too little then, and I am glad I waited because I like the new color. One girl likes purple and the other likes pink so it works out perfectly for me.
