This is a must have for your Ergo Carrier if you are a man or woman over the size of 10. We love our Ergo and I have used it for almost 2 years, but was shocked last week when I wanted my huband to carry my daughter on his back and it didn't fit around his waist. I was sure that I had seen pictures of "man sized" men using the carrier in Mothering Magazine - they must have been using the extension.

If you're chunky like me (6'2", 260), this turns the Ergo from a torture device into an essential fathering tool. If you think you need it, get it when you get the Ergo.

After the birth of my last child my Ergo just barely fit and not comfortably. I was a size 18 at the time. The extender belt worked perfectly and had gave me room to adjust the fit better. I've lost weight but still use this because I can more easily buckle this in the center of my back than on the side where the original clip is. It's also easier to grasp the extra strap to adjust when I switch from back to front carries.

I finally ordered the Ergo carrier to use with my (then) 7-month-old baby. After having tried a Snugli and a Baby Bjorn, I was excited to try the much hyped about Ergo Baby Carrier. Unfortunately, when I received the carrier and tried it on, I realized that the waist belt was just too short for my plus-size waist. Thankfully, this waist extension exists, and I ordered it right away. The extension gives me that extra length to be able to wear the Ergo comfortably, and so far, it's my favorite baby accessory!

Bought the Ergo extender strap because although the Ergo fit it was tight and uncomfortable so I was barely using it. Now that I have the extender strap I seem to use my Ergo ALL the time!!! I LOVE it!!!

It's just as sturdy as the carrier, so no worries about slipping or breaking. The carrier fits me fine, but my husband had to suck in his stomach to get it on, so it was tight and uncomfortable. With the extension, he can comfortably wear it too.

The strap was fine. It functions, its fine. The packaging it came in looked as if it sat in a store window warped by the sun for years. It wouldn't be giftable in its condition.

This extension worked beautifully from the moment I tried it on. Unfortunately, when I first received my Ergo carrier, I tried it on and freaked out when it didn't snap. I freaked out and ordered this product and when it arrived I sighed a deep breath of relief when I saw it fit perfectly and didn't change anything about the Ergo carrier. Now that I am almost 7 weeks postpartum, I have realized that the extension is unnecessary to me now. OOPS! At least I could wear the carrier with my transitional waistline too! Great product still :)

I ordered this extension because the waist strap on the carrier just didn't quite make it around my waist. The extra length works well and is easy to use with the carrier. Adds an extra 8 inches to the waistline.

I gained some weight since the last baby that I carried in my Ergo Baby Carrier, so I was happy to see there was an easy fix and that I didn't have to purchase a whole new carrier. The waist extension just snaps onto the end of the original buckle and you're set and ready to continue using your carrier like normal. Easy to put on, adjust and remove. My husband doesn't need it so he takes it off when carrying our son and just puts it into the front zipper pocket of the carrier so it is accessible for me when I need it.
Although I hope to not have to use this product for long, I am very pleased with it and glad that I was able to have it until I get this weight off.
