The apron is durable & very well made. what I don't like is that it was designed for a shorter person than myself (6'2"). I wish I could adust the neck stap about 3-4" longer.
That is my only complaint

5.0 out of 5 stars Best of its kind, July 2, 2008

I'm a finish carpenter who ends up needing lots of little tools close at hand but who dislikes the bulky bags most carpenters wear. I've used the bucket boss brand which is very durable and well designed- except that it hangs on your neck which gives me posture problems. There is a cross-back bucket boss apron but it is of light weight construction. I've been using the throw-away light-weight white (CLC?) cross back 12 pocket apron which actually is pretty comfortable for me (Average build, 5'11") but tools wear through it pretty quick.

The Ergodyne is light and very sturdy for the price. Pockets are a little larger than average. Hammer loops are strong and narrow side pockets fit a Stabilo torpedo level perfectly. After 5 months of almost always wearing it for 45 hr work week the only failure is some of the stitching at bottom edge of large chest pocket ( A little adhesive caulk does the trick :) ) So no five stars but would do 4 1/2 if I could. As for comfort- I cant get it to fit perfect but is more comfortable than the Bucket Boss. Not a lot of strap adjustment if you're a big guy.

Will buy again.

Update- 12/28/11 I just read my own review and had to change it from 4 to 5 stars. I'm just wearing out my 4th or 5th apron and I'm ordering more (I order them 2 at a time now). If you don't currently wear a work apron an added bonus is that it keeps your clothes cleaner and you can wipe excess glue on it :) . One down side I didn't mention (this is probably true of most aprons) is that when you bend down stuff can fall out of the top pocket - something to consider if you do a lot of baseboard...

I have used several aprons over the years and was looking for an upgrade. I forgot I was even wearing it. There was no pulling on the neck an fit the body well so there was nothing loose to potentially get caught up in machinery.

I wore out my last two aprons and found this one to replace my last from BucketBoss. Works well but I don't think the hammer loops will last. They are elastic which, in my experience, will last about 12 months before losing its elasticity. I much prefer webbing but did not know until I received it. Other than that, I like it pretty well. I am short and roundish (5'6"/190#) and it is pretty comfortable to work it in.

Pluses - Comfortable, spreads its weight across the back, quality material, looks nice without being too dorky, lots of pockets, & inexpensive cost.

Cons - When bending over, things can fall out of the pockets, "maybe" wish it had flaps with velcro. But then things wouldn't go into the pockets as easily, nor could you find them as easily.

This is a terrific shop apron. It fits well, keeps my most-needed tools at hand, is well-made. Great material. Love the fact that it's not hanging around my neck. Good price. I recommend it without hesitation.

This apron is neat and tidy. It does not hang on the neck to tire my shoulders. The pockets are well formed and hold tools very securely. But what I like best is that this is small enough to stay out of my way when I am making furniture. I have tried several aprons over the years and after modifying them so they don't tire my shoulders (add a strap in the back) they still end up in the rag bag because they get in the way or they don't hold tools well or both.

A good apron, definitely can attest to the fitting, the strap placement is excellent, curved appropriately for I would think any human, anyway.

Not much room for bigger utilities, save for a couple of loops near the sides.

Seems stable and doesn't move around much. Perfect for the average male [~1.75m].
