This drafting chair is great. I bought it for my R&D lab and, after it was delivered to our house, realized that it was ideal for my injured wife to use in the kitchen while her ankle healed. It has adjustable arms, seat angle, and back rest. The foot ring is securely fixable to the support tube which is important when one rolls from bench to bench around the lab. Very solid construction over all.

The chair is available with or without arms and that led to some confusion when it arrived. The base shipping carton is for a chair with no arms and this is clearly printed in large block letters on multiple carton panels. The only indication that the chair had arms was one small sticker on one box face. I thought I had received the wrong chair and started looking up Amazon's return policy on their site. Turning the box around to gather product information I finally spotted the little sticker. C'mon. For that amount of money can't the box have more than one sticker - and bigger stickers too?

I just received this chair and assembled it this morning. The cushioning is awful...like really hard. I'm so disappointed. For a chair this expensive that says it has "triple padding", this should be much more comfortable. My tailbone actually hurts from sitting in it for only the last hour. I trusted the other reviews and am not sure why everyone else said it was so comfortable... :( Also, I do not think a large person would fit very well in this.....I'm small and I feel like I'm taking up the whole seat and going to fall off...

After using the stool for 1 (ONE) day, the chrome on the foot rest started to come off. I called the company and they assured me they would send me another foot rest. It has now been three weeks and I havent seen anything from them. Amazon is great but the company who sells the stool has poor customer service.

Very pleased with this purchase. The main issue for me was getting a seat that had thick but firm cushioning because I work long hours on it. Within 3 days it cleared up some sores I had gotten from the old stool I used before this. The chair is high enough to work at a drafting table, and the height adjustment works fine, which I expected. It also has handles for quick adjustment of the angle of the seat, and the angle of the back, which were nice extras. It feels pretty solid. I suspect it would work well for someone with more weight, but I'm not a good person to test that since I weigh under 140 lbs. I chose not to install the arms, but kept them for future use if run into a need for them. The instructions were pretty reasonable, although I had to figure out the angle to put one of the pieces because it wasn't explained or pictured clearly. No regrets about this purchase after using it for several weeks now.

This is just the right size for my drafting table. The arm rests rattle a little but overall it's very good.

The chair itself is decent. The seat is firm and the back of the chair gives decent support; it gets the job done for an inexpensive drafting chair.

However, if you actually use the arm rests your chair at all, buy something that will actually last or prepare for disappointment and problems. I wanted a drafting chair with arms that I could use, not arms for decoration only.

The arm rests on this chair are cheap, hard plastic and they're hollow inside. A very poor design for an arm rest. Any continued pressure on the arm rests will cause the bottom where the screws connect it to eventually cave in and crack. By eventually, I mean within a few months of standard use - things like leaning my arm on the arm rest while reading or working. Mind you, I'm neither a heavy person nor am I putting excessive of pressure on them. They're just poorly made.

Within one month of having this chair, the right arm rest cracked on the bottom. I contacted the seller by email and received a new, single replacement. A month and a half later, the other arm rest did the same thing, cracking in the exact same place. Then replacement just snapped last night as well.

If I'd realized how cheaply made these were, I would have gone with another chair entirely.
