Product Description

The PADandCLICK ARTHRITIS gel pads have thicker and more angled finger pads than the regular Pad N'Click model, and take a bit of getting used to. They provide a better grip of the mouse i.e. curved/grasping position of the hand and fingers While it takes some time for the hand to become adjusted we found this model more effective for people who have pain in their hands. If you have a lot of pain in your hand the PADandCLICK ARTHRITIS model was found to be more helpful. If you have no serious pain in your hand the PADandCLICK REGULAR is best for you. Both models of the PADandCLICK accessory enhance a typical mouse by providing : a softer surface to click on - an angled design that allows the fingers to bend when clicking - a more concave area to increase the total surface of contact - a PALM PAD to help curve the hand inward into a grasping mode. Pads are designed to make the joints of fingers bend into a more natural position rather than remaining straight when clicking. Visit PADandCLICK com for more details.

5.0 out of 5 stars Absorbs shock, August 24, 2010

This review is from: Ergonomic Gel Pads on Mouse - Carpal Tunnel Mouse Pads Padandclick - Arthritis - (Pads Only - Mouse Not Included) (Office Product)
For me, the Ergonomic Gel Pads ease the pain of temporary injuries that result from repetitive clicking. I perform a lot of research online for graduate papers, so my fingertips would hurt a lot before the introduction of the pads. The pads keep my fingertips from continually pressing into my mouse's hard plastic surface. I had no idea that making the mouse's surfaces cushion-y could make such a major difference in the way my hands feel. Now I can use the mouse for longer periods of time with far less discomfort. This means I can concentrate on my work more and not on whether my hands will be able to hold up.

If the maker of the Ergonomic Gel Pads could design a keyboard with similar cushioning material built into the keys, then heavy computer use could be even less injurious to the hands. I predict that a keyboard with keys made from a similar gel-like, rubberized material would sell like hotcakes.

The only problem I've seen after 2 weeks of use is that the gel has become worn and rough from use where my finger moves on the pad. Suggest some sort of improvement for that; but, otherwise I love the product.

The pads on my logitech G9 mouse work great, they make my fingers rest very nicely. However they have seem to wear out pretty quickly, but I use my computer 10 hours a day. Customer service was very prompt in fixing all product issues.
