This is my second Ergotech Freedom Arm Mount. I previously bought and reviewed the other version listed as "Ergotech Freedom Arm Mount Single for PC - Metal Gray (FDM-PC-G01)"

I love these mounts so much that when I decided to get a second 27" Korean monitor, I knew I needed to get this mount again.

My current setup is as follows: two 27" Korean monitors, two Ergotech Freedom Arm Mounts (FDM-PC-S01 & FDM-PC-G01), only one base shaft/clamp, and a very heavy/study wood+metal desk. Such a cool perk to be able to have more than one arm on a single desk mount. I now use my older monitor in a vertical orientation hovering off of the side of my desk...amazing!

Being able to ergonomically position your monitor(s) exactly where need be is invaluable, as well as freeing up desk space you never knew you had. But those perks are of monitor arms in general...the Freedom Arm is aesthetically pleasing and incredibly well made/strong. I am very confident in my dual monitor setup...let alone constantly adjusting/moving the monitors (my first arm got tons of use throughout the day for about 8 months straight.) And if you are looking at a dual monitor arm rig, I recommend buying two of these arms instead of the dual monitor/single arms...you will be completely happy.

Unfortunately, supply was/has dried up a bit for these monitor arms, and I ended up paying about double what I paid 8 months ago on the first arm I bought. Still, totally worth it.

Also, make sure that the desk edge you attach the arm mount to is a square edge...because of this requirement, I was forced to mount the arm to the side of my desk instead of in the rear because of the rounded edges front and back that my desk has.

These arms are now a requirement set by me for any workstation on a desk that can support the mount clamp.

Beautiful item, well-built. Looks and feels like it will last forever. Solid and gorgeous. Very maneuverable to where you need it to be.

However, I'm taking one star off because the installation for larger monitors is a little bit of a pain. Once you have monitor on the arm and are trying to thread the hole onto the base pole, it nearly takes more than one person to accomplish that task.

I used it on my LG 34UM95-P 34" Ultra-Wide monitor, and trying to hold it up there while attaching the arm to the base was not workable for me. I had to remove the monitor from the arm, then mount the base, then arrange a method to mount the monitor onto the VESA mount on the arm after the arm was attached to the base. I got it done, but it was harder than I expected it to be.

Good product at a great price. Recommended for sure, but you might want to have another person assist for larger monitors.

I bought this for a 30" monitors that weighs 20.7 pounds with the stand, and just a little over 17 pounds without the stand. Because this stand says it is good for up to 24" monitors, I was worried that it wouldn't be able to handle the 30". However, it works with absolutely no issues. I think the weight is actually the more important thing to check.

The thing is extremely robust, and in fact my monitor feels much more secure on this than it did on the rickety stand with which it came. Adjustment is very simple and smooth.

The only negative is that it's a bit cumbersome to attach the monitor to the stand; you first attach the arm, and then have to attach the arm to the post. Unless you have a very small monitor, I recommend you have a second person around to assist with this.
