This album is a compilation based on three previously released albums of Jia Peng Fang: 'Faraway...', 'River' and 'Rainbow'.

There is only one new track - No. 7 - 'Bokyo'.

I recommend this album to those customers, who have never heard a beautiful relaxing Asian music of Jia Peng Fang, as well as to those connaisseurs who would like to make a pleasant gift to their friends.

Please note that by the time of this review, Jia Peng Fang relased 2 new CDs - 'Sho' and 'Roman'. A few weeks ago, he released his first DVD with live concert. For the time being these new CDs and the DVD are available only in Japan... But, I know for sure, that sooner or later, they will be released in USA as well. Keep checking...

I live in Asia, and I've heard the Chinese musical instrument "erhu", since I was young. Erhu has always been use for sad songs or accompany sad stories. What Jia Peng Fang does with erhu in this cd is a refreshing and excellent adaptation to other western instrument accompaniment. Also, this cd is truely a great compilation of the best songs from 2 other of his cds. I highly recommend it!

This cd has everything one would want: creative orchestration, Fang's solo virtuosity, melodies that transport the listener, and outstanding production value. Appeals to classical, acoustic, and new age listeners.

This cd provides serenity,relaxation,calming and an overall peace to myself and the thousands that listen to it... how do I know?.... I work in a hospital Outpatient Radiology Dept and have this cd playing periodically throughout the workday. Many of our patients have terminal diagnosis and comment how they love listening to this cd...

Listening to it almost automatically removes you from present day stress and woes... you find yourself silently wondering of simple life, with beautiful happy things surrounding you...

The Chinese violin... a magnificent sound!... I can't wait to order more from Jia Peng Fang!

I'm so glad I purchased this album. Very relaxing, feeling like your in a dreamland. I used these music to put my 17 month old son to sleep every night.

The first song in the CD is the best. I have bought the healing II album. It is even better.

This instrument was unfamiliar to me, but is so lovely and brilliantly played. I would whole-heartedly recommend this CD. The music is spiritual, thoughtful and relaxing.

While this is a great compilation of Jia Peng Fang's work - one of which would make a great introduction, I must voice my sheer dissapointment at Amazon's support on the delivery of the mp3 album. Track 10 "Mirage of The Fall" is cut off at 16 seconds. The mp3 delivered is corrupt, and my many attempts at getting their engineers to rectify the delivery of this mp3 has failed (months if not a full quarter has passed)

Buyers of the mp3 download please beware, your best bet is to buy The Mirage directly from the album "The River".

Album gets a good review, but the mp3 download quality from Amazon for this album is piss poor.

Excellent intro to the Eruh - The Chinese violin, also excellent music for relaxation.
