Love it!,

My infant son LOVES this book. He loves the bright pictures and lifting the flaps to view what's underneath. We've read it with him since he was just a couple of months old to start learning colors, opposites, and the joy of reading.

I love using this book to teach opposites. With the flipping pages, the kids love to guess the opposite and then you can reveal it. So fun for preschool!

This book is great for preschool and 1st graders. As with all Eric Carle books it is also excellent for Autistic children. It is a little short but my preschooler likes it. The Very Hungry Caterpillar and the Mixedup Chameleon are great for 1st graders.

I am always looking for Eric Carle books to include in our library for the preschool classes in out school. I thought this would make a nice addition since our four year olds learn about opposites. The examples of opposites are fine. It's the binding that is my problem with the book. It is advertised as a hardcover book, yet it has a padded cover. These do not hold up well in a school library. I have had problems before with other vendors selling board books as hardcovers, but not Amazon. I am dissappointed

Our son loves the Eric Carle books. This one is no different. Although the pages are of a heavy cardstock and not a board book, I'm not worried about my son tearing the pages. He loves to look at this simple book and has learned the concept of opposties.

grandsons love it - as they do all Carle's - only few Carle' were available when their dad was a child - now there are many, many Carle books

Boring book and not the best examples of opposites. There are much better choices available - I would not buy again.
