Eric changes it up a bit, great stuff!
Eric Sardinas is one of the precious few artists on the scene today that combines an original instrumental technique with a constant payment of homage to traditional American music--blues, here performed on his trusty Dobro, acoustic and electric, as usual. On this CD, Eric has a little less "attitude" (he was downright ANGRY on his first CD!), and more variety in his...

Poor showing
I have to disagree with the other two reviews. I have waited a few years for this latest effort from Eric, we were teased a couple of years ago by Eric into believing we were going to be given a live cd/dvd, (which is LONG overdue), listening to this release is dissapointing, only a couple of good tracks, hence two stars. Please do not buy this before any of his other...

Eric Sardinas is one of the precious few artists on the scene today that combines an original instrumental technique with a constant payment of homage to traditional American music--blues, here performed on his trusty Dobro, acoustic and electric, as usual. On this CD, Eric has a little less "attitude" (he was downright ANGRY on his first CD!), and more variety in his songs, which, BTW, showcase his fine songwriting abilities. There's a touch of pop rock and soul in some of the tunes, and it makes for a very interesting record. Not quite as much slide guitar showboating as on his first two albums, but I understand that he doesn't want to run that stuff into the ground. It's more about the songs, here. GREAT version of As The Crow Flies, a tune notably covered years ago by Rory Gallagher, another slide guitar master. Eric hasn't forgotten his influences.
Highly recommended for REAL music fans, a dying breed, sad to say. If Eric had popped onto the scene in the mid-sixties, he probably would have been much more appreciated.

Please do not buy this before any of his other CD's, and if you do decide to buy it, then sorry, I did warn you. I bought it blind and thought Eric would have put some of his magic on it, sadly, it is poor and had I bought this before seeing him, then I would not have attended any of his very rare gigs over here in the UK. A live cd would have kept the ball rolling, this release has slowed it down.
