Engaging adventure story for children mourning the loss of Harry Potter,
By David L Dawson (UK) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Eric and Thickpea (Paperback)
To be honest I'm perfectly sick of wizards and witches cluttering up the children's shelves. I want something different! Enter Eric and Thickpea, an adventure story for children aged about 8 or 9 and over, about a homeless boy and his pet rat, Thickpea. There are funny, poignant and quirky characters; never-see-coming plot twists that put other books to shame, and an endearing plot. I loved it. Where's the sequel?
