Great game !!,

After suffering from the G.I. Combat blues, Freedom games has produced a stable and exciting WW II Real time strategy game. No longer will tiger tanks run at the sight of light machine guns and grenades. The A.I. is much improved over G.I. combat, and the camera controls are easier to master. Great Job !!

Squad Assault is a delite. I have been playing Combat Mission and Close Combat for years. Played them to death. I wanted them combined and then I found Squad Assault. It is the best of both world. I never liked the turn based play of Combat Mission and I wanted more than the 2D in Close Combat. Now I have it.Check www.squadassault.com for the big news that DAS Entertainment is coninuing the series to Market Garden! Thanks, Bob

Squad Assault is a good game. I like it because of its realism to real combat. In the game you control squads like the name of the game. You don't have to worry about each and every soldiers on the battlefield. like the real world, your soldiers have feelings; they may panic when alot of their bodies got killed and they may feel berserk when they killed alot of enemies. Also like the real world, there is limited amount of ammo each soldier carries. you can give real time commands like fire, assault, smoke screen and more. The sound is good and the graphic is excellent.

If I were Eric Young, I wouldn't want my name to be associated with Squad Assault. Suffice it to say that I am a huge fan of this kind of games and of WW2 in particular and I couldn't get interested to finish one battle. Not only is it far from anything comparable to the CC series, this is supposed to be an improvment over GI Combat which itself was a major flop. It turns out to be inferior to GI Combat in many ways, particularly the battle graphics. This game is not worth its price, save your money and look for something else. I wish I did.
