5.0 out of 5 stars Quick and filling breakfast or lunch
I've eaten Erin Baker's Oatmeal Raisin Breakfast cookies as well as the Double Chocolate variety. For meal replacement, I prefer the Oatmeal Raisin -- they aren't so sweet and treat-like that I'm tempted to eat more than one (which has happened with the chocolate ones -- and at around 300 calories each, that's not a good idea for somebody who'd like to drop a few pounds.)...

3.0 out of 5 stars Dry
The last shipment of Erin's Oatmeal Raisn Cookies were all broken and all were dry. I have noticed in the past that all the cookies never come as nicely packaged as the cookies ordered directly from Erin Baker's. If the next order is dry I will no longer buy them from Amazon. This tells me the cookies are in the warehouse to long.

I've eaten Erin Baker's Oatmeal Raisin Breakfast cookies as well as the Double Chocolate variety. For meal replacement, I prefer the Oatmeal Raisin -- they aren't so sweet and treat-like that I'm tempted to eat more than one (which has happened with the chocolate ones -- and at around 300 calories each, that's not a good idea for somebody who'd like to drop a few pounds.) I stopped buying the Chocolate ones because they were just too tempting. The Oatmeal Raisin ones do a good job of getting me through the morning (or afternoon) without feeling hungry. I put them straight into the freezer when they arrive -- I either let them thaw naturally (for lunch at work) or toast them (with the toaster oven on medium darkness.) They are great toasted, giving off the scent of a fresh-baked oatmeal cookie and toasting adds a slight crunch to the outside of the cookie. Cooking them in a microwave works ok (30 seconds in an 800 watt oven), but I haven't nuked one since finding out how great they are toasted!

4.0 out of 5 stars Good, quick "on-the-run" breakfast choice..., August 17, 2006

This is a tasty, filling and quick breakfast choice. It is a hearty choice that kept me from being hungry until lunch. Leave it partially in the package while eating it, though, because is can crumble.

These cookies are very good. The bad thing is I want to eat more than one! Very soft and great tasting. And for less than $1 per cookie, its a great deal.

Erin Baker's Breakfast Cookies are not just for breakfast. You can have one anytime and they are so big you will enjoy eating them for a long time. We ordered the Oatmeal Raisin cookies and they were so moist and delicious. I wondered where they were going to so fast and discovered that my husband was taking them to work with him. So they must be very good because he is not a dessert person at all!

These do have a subtle taste to them, but they still taste fine (especially with some hot tea or coffee), and the healthy ingredients are ultimately a trade off I am comfortable with. With respect to serving size, one of these is a full breakfast - even when I am really hungry. If you are looking the overly sweet or powerful taste you get from those granola / breakfast candy bars you typically see covering all of the grocery store shelves - these are not for you. If you looking for a breakfast on the run that's healthy and filling - I would highly recommend them. I am on my second month of them with no regrets.

No doubt due to unpleasant childhood memories, I'm simply unable to gag down oatmeal, even if my life depended on it. If you should read Dr. Esselstyne's popular study on heart disease, you may well come to the conclusion that it does (your life, that is) depend on your ability to eat plenty of oatmeal (while steering clear of meat, dairy, refined grains, and oils--including fish, soy, olive). When I discovered that I could choke down one of these with little to no problem, I instantly became a party animal of the same political persuasion as the Cookie Monster. Assuming this is an "effective" way of eating oatmeal, I'm a fan and an advocate of the product--all the more so when the price comes down into single-digit territory (which first called it to my attention).

I'm not saying these are the tastiest cookies in the world, but the ingredients comprise whole grains, oat meal, minimal sugar--and there's little to no saturated fat! As far as flavors, if the oatmeal raisin doesn't tickle your fancy or brighten up the buds on your tongue, give the fruit and nut cookies a try. (Don't worry--oatmeal is listed as a primary ingredient there as well).

5.0 out of 5 stars great taste and healthy, May 18, 2010
This review is from: Erin Baker's Breakfast Cookies, Oatmeal Raisin, 3-Ounce Individually Wrapped Cookies (Pack of 12) (Grocery)
Loved the taste of these cookies, I got the banana nut. They're large and filling. The only problem for me personally is they have 56 gms of carbohydrates and being a diabetic that's a little too much for me. Tried eatting only half but can't, they're just too good. Other than that I would love to have these everyday. Better than just instant oatmeal; tastey and very filling.

These cookies are very good, with a pleasing texture. I like them because they are not that sweet, so that you can nibble on them and eat them slowly so you are satisfied and don't feel hungry. You also do not feel guilty because they have lots of fiber and no sat fat. Great deal, especially if you set up a "subscription".

Personally, I was disappointed in the breakfast cookie. I thought them rather bland and high in calories. My son, though, thought they were great. Maybe it is an age thing.
