Very exciting performance of a Verdi great, February 19, 1999

This recording was an eye-opener for me. I'd never thought of Ernani as a particularly dramatically effective opera until now. Thanks to great conducting, and a surprisingly strong performance by soprano Sass. Why aren't we hearing more from this amazing lady?

The Utrecht Operachorus wil sing the compleet opera, in concert, in november 1999 in the Utrecht musikhal Vredenburg/Utrecht/Holland. Everybody is welkom to come and listen. The conductor will be Mr Joham van de Camp from Soest in Holland. The orkester will be The Dutch Prmenade orkester From Amsterdam.
