This very early Ernestine Anderson album is an unrecognized classic. You'll love what she does with "Azure Te" and "My Ship," "Running Wild." Every cut is perfection.I never tire of this one, and I've been playing it since the vinyl came out in the early 60s! If you recognize the greatness evident in her maturity, you'll love her beautiful voice in its youthful prime.

Much like Lorez Alexandria, Ernestine is another fine jazz vocalist who many people slept on during the 50s and 60s. This CD is not good, it's great. She is in great form here AND she doesn't really sound like Sarah, Ella, or Billie; just influenced by them. Buy it along with Lorez Alexandria's DEEP ROOTS.
