5.0 out of 5 stars Ernestine Brayer, January 11, 2009
This review is from: Ernestine Bayer: Mother of US Women's Rowing (Paperback)
As a masters rower who began late in life to learn this amazing sport, I was unaware of how relatively young women's rowing is. The passion and grit that drove Ernestine Brayer and those around her to prevail in a men's rowing world and to establish the foundation of what women's rowing is today should be inspiring to rowers and non rowers alike. A good quick clean biography written with a journalist's eye and ear for the heart of the matter.
