I've always used Earthwood for my acoustic guitar, so when I started playing the banjo, I thought I'd try these first. They are of good quality, and have a very nice tone. Highly reccomend!

5.0 out of 5 stars VERY NICE, March 30, 2010
This review is from: Ernie Ball 2061 Earthwood 5-string Banjo Frailing 80/20 Bronze Loop End gauges 10,13,15,24w,10 (Electronics)
I wanted to give these a shot because I play clawhammer banjo. Well I was very nicely surprised. These strings have a perfect tone to them and they play nicely. When I used up my first set I replaced them with my normal GHS strings and YUCK. The sound was so tinny. Just trust me on this. Give these strings a shot!!

I have been playing clawhammer banjo for about six months and have tried several strings on my banjo. In my opinion, these strings have the best sound and feel. I will continue to purchase.
