Simply the Best,
This review is from: Ernie Ball 2833 Hybrid Slinky Bass Nickel Wound .045 - .105 (Electronics)
As i titled my review, this string set is as good as the expensive ones, plus it has that particular punchy, fat, clear sound that everyone loves. I am not only a bass player but also a string dealer. Because of this I had the opportunity to test a wide range of brands, materials, gauges, etc. Ernie ball have something that the other ones don't. Give you the opportunity to check it!

Used these for my Epiphone EB-0 which is a short scale bass and I was afraid that the strings may not fit but they DID fit and fit great. Sounds very good and nice action on the strings.I play rock/Metal. I think these strings are the best balance between quality and price. Highly recommended.

Rotosounds (stainless steel) are hard not only on your fingertips but on your nickel frets as well. In my opinion, with Ernie Ball nickel bass strings you get the response you need with less damage to either. The string life may be lesser, but when do you want to spend $400 to have your instrument refretted due to steel damage? If Ernie Ball is good enough for Tony Levin (Peter Gabriel, King Crimson), don't you think it's good enough for you?

Exactly what I was expecting - nice even tones. Smooth sound. I like this particular gauge since it still cuts right under the guitar, but not so far under that it falls out...if that makes any sense. Recommended!

These Strings are excellent. They sound really great and look really nice as well. I usually use the regular slinky, but decided to branch out and the hybrid was a good choice.

just got these a month ago and have been very pleased. the price is right and so far they are bringing the tones i want from my p-bass. i tried flat wounds only to find them too mellow for what i want. strap a set of these on and get ready to rock. they do not disappoint.
