madcap one-thing-leads-to-another story,
By A Customer
This review is from: Ernie and Bert Book (Hardcover)
"Here, Bert, put this pot on your head!" "Why! " "Because I broke the eggs." "What does that have to do with ...?" and Ernie commences explaining how one thing led him to the next and the next and... eventually Bert needs the pot on his head because his cowboy hat is being used elsewhere. Engaging, humorous read and/or a fun mental workout. Kids will think about chains of events and laugh at Ernie's wacky choices.

YAY!,

This review is from: Ernie And Bert Book, The (Golden Super Shape Book) (Paperback)
I'm 29 years old and this is the first book I was ever able to read all by myself. Now, years later I found it at a garage sale and my six year old has read it, but it was not her first. This book has so many good feelings that accompany it because of the history I have with it. The reason I am giving it five stars is because as a child I LOVED it so much that I searched high and low for it all over used book stores, and couldn't find it. I couldn't remember the name, and now that I finally have it I'm shocked at how I couldn't find it.

Ernie's has logic...it's just a bit askew,
By
This review is from: The Ernie & Bert Book (Sesame Street/Golden Shape Book) (Paperback)
Sesame Street's muppet, Ernie, is at it again. This time, Ernie has broken his piggy bank and needs a place to put the money. Of course, he chooses the cookie jar, but now needs something in which he can store cookies. By the time young readers get to the end of the story, they will have laughed at some of Ernie's choices and Bert's justifiable worry. From fishbowls to cowboy hats, Ernie teaches kids about choices and consequences in this farcical story. Adults will get a laugh out of it, too.

Memories,
By Susie Quintley "Susie Q" (Louisiana) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Ernie And Bert Book, The (Golden Super Shape Book) (Paperback)
My girls were born eight years apart. Between the two of them we went through three copies of this book. It was read multiple times a day. It brings back such fond memories of when they were little. I plan on buying two more copies for when they have little ones of their own.

Giggles for everyone,
By
This review is from: Ernie And Bert Book, The (Golden Super Shape Book) (Paperback)
My brother and I loved this book growing up. In fact I think our parents had to buy an extra copy because we were always claiming it was exclusively our own, making the other one cry. But it's a fun book, in a ridiculous Ernie & Bert kind of way. I personally think it's one of the best Sesame Street books they ever made. If nothing else, this will inspire little kid giggles that will make you smile.

One book you won't dread reading ten times a day!,

My two year old loves this book. This was the first book in which he could understand the humor. It continues to amuse him with each reading. It tells the whimsical story of Ernie trying to find new places for almost everything in the house. It is a great book for parents to read to children and for the kids to look at. The text and illustrations do a wonderful job of capturing the spirit of Bert and Ernie from the TV show. I really don't think you can go wrong with this book.

My Mom had given me several of these books that I had as a kid to read to my children. One of my dogs got a hold of it, and since it was 30+ years old, was pretty much destroyed. This book is the exact book I had. The book was as described by the seller, and it was shipped quickly.

GREAT BOOK FOR KIDS,

This review is from: Ernie and Bert Book (Hardcover)
I remember this story from when I was growing up, and now I'm buying it for my own kids. The story is about how Ernie puts one thing after another in the wrong place and then has to "find" another place for the items. It teaches kids AND adults that everything has it's proper place and that things should always be put away correctly the first time. My family loved this book so much that we often would reference the book in normal life, saying something like, "But Ernie, where are you going to put the goldfish?" This classic is a great book for everyone!

Great book for 18 month olds,

This review is from: Ernie and Bert Book (Hardcover)
I came across this book at the Goodwill store. At first my 18 month old daughter did not like this book, but now it is her favorite. We have to read it at least 3 times a day. The pictures are very colorful and the story line teaches thought process. A classic Ernie and Bert story line.
