This compilation of stories and ancedotes by Ernie Harwell, a true gentleman in addition to beng one of baseball's finest play-by-play announcers, meanders along throughout baseball history, recording the stories, jokes, and fun events that make baseball so colorful. There's nothing here to "keep you on the edge of your seat," but that's not the point -- it's just a nice stroll through the more pleasant aspects of our National Pastime.
