One of television's few true comedic geniuses, Kovacs madcap public persona masked a tragic private life, which climaxed when his emotionally disturbed wife kidnapped their daughters in the middle of heated custody battle. Distraught, Kovacs spent the next two years searching for his wife and daughters in a struggle that almost cost him his career and his sanity.
