Music so soothing it can put an insomniac to sleep..., April 27, 2008
This review is from: Eroc 1 (Audio CD)
Don't get me wrong, this is NOT a negative review. This CD is a solo effort by the drummer of Grobschnitt, as he had already worked his electronic pieces into the stage interludes (that means a break for those of you who aren't musicians). He then set out to make a CD on his own, and what follows in simply a fine piece of ambient/techno history. I was lucky enough to find this CD at a used record store (it was playing on overhead) and I daresay it even ventures into the realm of new age music, cloying as that may be for some people. Pick it up. you won't be disappointed!!

Yep,you NEED this!!, October 6, 2007

ok,so here we have a solo project from the drummer in Grobschnitt, which frankly doesnt do much for me - too Pink Floydish or something...I dunno.
Anyway, this isnt about Grobschnitt its about EROC,which is FANTASTIC!!Never heard of "them" before, big thanks to Aquarius Records for turning me on to this little gem!!For points of reference, think along lines of Harmonia,Forst-era Cluster, etc.
Apparently, this edition has lots of bonus tracks, sweetning the deal further.Wonder if Julian Cope knows about this??
