This review is from: Eros: A Journey of Multiple Loves (Paperback)
An interesting journey and narrative about the author's personal evolution. She explains about her upbringing in an upper middle class from Italy, the daughter of an Italian member of parliament from a progressive political perspective with the social contradictions of the Italian society of the post World War Two era.She narrates the fight for women's rights in Italy against the backwardness of the Catholic Church and her evolution from traditional monogamous lifestyle to the adoption of the poly lifestyle. Her journey through American Society from being a foreign graduate student in more or less liberal southern California to the experience as a professor at a conservative university in the Deep South. She explains how polygamy changed her life and her personal relations in a complicated, but at the end positive way,the pleasure and the satisfaction of feeling multiple manifestations of love and affection in a collective way.It is an invitation to think, tolerate and accept diversity. I do highly recommend it. |
