I was actually fortunate enough to be in Italy while Eros was on tour. I was able to attend one of his concerts in Catanzaro, Calabria. The concert was PHENOMENAL!!! I never wanted it to end. When i purchased this DVD, it made me feel like i was right there again, only closer. Eros is an amazing musician and an excellent performer! If you don't understand Italian, I would recommend trying to translate his lyrics online, because his concert is incredible, but it's just that much better if you are able to understand the story behind his magic, especially the songs he sings to his daughter Aurora. Ti Amo EROS!

Having been a huge fan of Eros for years, we bought this DVD while touring in Italy two weeks ago not knowing that Europe has a different DVD format than the US. The DVD will not play in any of our DVD players but will play on our computers. The concert is fabulous! I can't wait to get the US coded version so that I can watch it on my big-screen in high-definition with full surround sound! Eros's music is fantastic and beautiful!

If you are an Eros fan, you will love this DVD. First disc goes through the whole concert in Rome. To me, it seemed to be footage of the WHOLE concert without any cutting. My wife and I went to this concert earlier in Milan 2004 and it was basically the same performance (same songs, props, etc.) The only difference I could tell was one song missing from the encore in Rome (he did two songs in Milan). Really a great concert by a true musician. I highly recommend this DVD.

From this site it looks like the region 1 (USA) format is not available, but if you go to United Kingdom Amazon site, you will find the region 1 format available. It ships from Canada. It took us a while to figure that out. Not sure why it's not available on the US site.

I was simply blown away by this concert. He had the entire Stadio Olimpico eating out of his hands (I'm sure they'd literally do it, if he asked!), something even Francesco Totti (AS Roma footballer) can't do.

The production quality was awesome. Great angles and fantastic selection of shots, great change in editing pace from song to song. The audio setup was top-notch, you could hear the entire crowd singing along to every song (either the mics were very well placed or that is the best group of fans ever).

But it goes without saying that Eros is a superb live performer and wowed me with his guitar solos and that fantastic drum face-off at the end of Falsa Partenza! Such a versatile performer, and he looks so comfortable and effortlessly charming (and, *ahem* sexy!) onstage. Incredibile!

Easily my best purchase from Amazon thus far. A must have for Eros fans and I highly recommend this to anyone. The next time Eros has his concert, I intend to enjoy it from the front row. And then buy the DVD.

Great musician, great performer, great music, sei grande!

I purchased the DVD in Montreal this week, there was a single copy available in DTS 6.1 version. I hesitated before purchasing, was kind of expensive.
Once I started the show, I was so glad I got it.
Vocals, are smooth, jazzy and yes awesome, the crowd so inspiring and visibly enjoying some good clean fun. The music close to perfection. This is one show by Eros you will want to see on a surround sound system and a big screen. And if you have a 6.1 set up. Get ready for some harmony like you have never heard before. Bravo Eros, Brava Italia.

I got this DVD through eBay because for a while Amazon had its release date set for 2010. It's a fantastic DVD that really does justice to one of the greatest musicians out there. I had the opportunity to see him live in Miami as part of this world tour. I was 10 rows away from the stage! I felt like I could almost touch him. The Miami concert was great, but nothing compared to this one in Rome and the DVD will make you feel like you're there. The sound quality is superb and the video editing is fantastic. The version I have has 2 sound options: DTS 5.1 and PCM Stereo 2.0. My surround system only works with the latter, and the sound is great, it's really just like being there. This is a must-have for any Eros fan. You will not be disappointed.

Eros is my favorite singer, next to Garou. And this DVD is wonderful for those of us that couldn't make it to Italy to hear and see him.
The 5.1 surround sound set up is wonderful! And with all the cameras that were used to record the concert, it is almost like being there.
Only two things could make this DVD better; The option of English or Italian subtitles for the concert. And more songs! At about three hours for everything, it is just not enough!
If you love Eros, or just want to see an amazing Italian singer, you need this DVD.

I first saw Eros when Tina Turner sang a duet with him and I saw the great video.I also saw an interview where she told of going on tour with him for 4 dates in Europe.So,I decided to check him out and got his first concert on DVD,and love it alot.I then decided to get this one,Roma Live since everyone seemed to praise it so much.Does anyone know if there is footage on video or DVD of Eros and Tina singing together on stage?

Eros Ramazzotti's "9" Tour is excellent. Great performance filmed at Olympic Stadium in Rome, Italy 2004. His Music is powerful and true. Big bonus - to see Eros perform probably his greatest song "Adesso Tu". Disc 2 is very cool; 3 Specials - Backstage to the Concert from Rome, Behind The Scenes from his World Tour (Moscow to Buenos Aires) with even Enrique Iglesias popping up with him backstage for a little, and a Concert for the Kids in Milan, Italy. Overall, this is an excellent MUSIC DVD, with Digital 5.1 Sound, and Eros really does a top notch performance.

I have been Eros' fan for over 17 years,I have seen this DVD many times,and I believe that this concert is one of the best in all Eros' career. He's singing in his natal city Rome,in the Olimpico stadium in front of 60,000 people at least(Italian press).
Singing live,a lot of improvisation,the public is singing with him in all 23 songs.Eros in this DVD proves that he has all qualities:Strong voice,plays all kind of guitars and other instruments.
This DVD is still taking the 1st place in the European chart.
1st DVD 2hrs,Full concert.
2nd DVD 1hr, Eros in his World tour,from Moscow to Buenos aires passing by Gemany,France,Miami,Mexico and many others cities. A lot of fun,jokes,and modesty from Eros.
Also the 2nd concert includes scenes from a concert that Eros dicided to make for kids only in Milan(12,000 kids)..Take a look at it,it is fun.
I hope you won't miss this show.
