IN THE EARLY 90'S, THERE WERE SO MANY GOOD DEATHMETAL BANDS EMERGING ON THE SCENE. GORGUTS WAS AMONG THE BEST AND MOST UNDERATED OF ALL THESE BANDS (PROBIBLY BECAUSE THEY ARE FROM QUEBEC). THE DRUMMING IS LIGHTNING FAST AND THE SINGER HAS THE MOST AMAZING GROWL. THE BEST SONGS ARE1. With Their Flesh, He'll Create 2. Condemned to Obscurity 3. Erosion of Sanity 4. Orphans of Sickness 7. Odors of Existence IF YOU LIKE OBSCURA (I HATE IT) TRY THIS CLASSIC ALBUM. ONLY ONE PROBLEM THOUGH, I'VE BEEN WAITING TO FIND THIS FOR SO LONG I LOST HOPE. ... WITH THEIR FLESH HE'LL CREATE IS SUCH A GOOD SONG. I ALSO RECOMMEND DEICIDE, CARCASS, MORBID ANGEL, ENTOMBED AND LAST BUT NOT LEAST, BOLT THROWER.

This is one of the finest death metal cds in my collection. It is probably the epitme of Gorgut's sounds and song writing imo. The songs here are not as easy to get into as the debut album but the songs on Erosion of Sanity are more rich; filled with more odd tempo changes and time signatures, psychotic riffs and precision blast beat drumming. If you like albums like "legion" by Deicide you will love this.
