I'm sure that for it's specific genre--French erotica of the 1970s--this is a great production. However I'm judging it in a broader context, that being soft-core pornography in general.

And it does have copious female nudity, which is great, and somewhat surprisingly REALLY attractive women which in my experiences generally is not the case for erotica of the '70s. But this really isn't as explicit as some other releases of the era and that's what makes me rate it as three stars rather than four.

That would have been very cut-and-dry except that there are several deleted scenes included in the bonus features that are significantly more explicit. Those along with a really nice photo gallery (I don't know about you, but to me the photo galleries attached to movie DVDs almost always are throw-away features--not in this case, check it out!) made me seriously consider giving this four stars, but instead I settled on three (or really three and a half).

Oh, and I agree with the other reviewer: the title makes absolutely no sense. There is no lumberjack! Only a professor who decides to leave his life and try to build a utopian sex society in the woods. Yeah, none of it really makes sense...just watch it for the chicks.

I don't know who's responsible for the ridiculous titles for Pallardy's films, but this is the best one of his films I've seen yet. So we'll forgive him for the Python-esque title, and concern ourselves with the trousersnake succubi that permeate this bawdy sex comedy that has copious amounts of nudity every 4 or 5 minutes supplied by some of the finest Eurobabes that have ever come down the Alps. One gorgeous trollop after another, prancing around undraped alone or in droves, this is one of only a handful of sex comedies that's really worth your time and attention. You'll need a female lumberjack to chop down your 'wood' when you're done with this one...

great looking women, simulated sex. if you are like me, you hope for some camera slip-ups. you know, where you accidentally see something you are not supposed to see..that is the draw of all exploitation films. this video was ok, but nothing to keep. the plot was nonsense. the action was leaving you wanting you more, this could have been a great porn film..but it is only soft core
