one of my favorites,
By A Customer
This review is from: Erotique Noire (Hardcover)
I've had this book (received it as a gift) for a number of years now and it is certainly one of my favorite pieces of "secular" literature. Nowhere else have I seen such a broad-based and diverse (literally global)celebration of Black love, sensuality, and sexuality, from poetry to essays to short stories, with offerings from people you may never have heard of to names as "big" as Alice Walker; and ranging in tone from comical to reflectively stoic. A must have for anyone (especially Black)with a free mind and an appreciation for the "moist and warm" side of life ;O). peace.

The book is very open to the expression of sexuality.,

After reading Erotique Noire, I felt like I was experiencing what some of the authors was expressing. The poems and short stories seemed like they actually happened in the authors lives.
