Nice EP, in the style of old 90's industrial music,

Upon hearing this I was taken back to the early 90's. The time of Skinny Puppy, Nine Inch Nails, Pigface, Chemlab, etc...
It doesn't bring anything really new to industrial music, but is still a great listen. the cover of "Homocide" absolutely rocks. The vocals are very reminiscent of early Skinny Puppy, the music a mish mash of every afore mention band. If you buy one EP this year, make it Error....

pretty good stuff,

this is a good little e.p. - to me its very reminiscent of aphex twin's come to daddy. the beats are hard and fast and generally, it rocks. if i had my way, there would be more 'pretty' parts to contrast the fast and angry stuff going on, but whatever. good stuff.

Promising,

To the best of my knowledge, this is the only release from Error to date; a short and structured EP that presents something raw and aggressively new, despite many other bands' attempts to pull off what they've done flawlessly here.
Error has succesfully blended real punk with drill and bass, and it's intense. The vocals are filtered and destroyed but discernable, and the crunch of the synth tones and breakbeats brings the anger accross in a way that very few "electronic" groups have even come close to accomplishing. As others have stated, Jack the Ripper is a stand out track... it's catchy and brutal. I'd also like to note that their cover of the punk song Homicide is pretty incredible. They basically took the song and made it their own, which is something that most covers fail miserably at. All in all, it's a really affordable and worthwhile purchase, but I think (and hope) that it is a sign of great things to come. The EP is too short to really dig in and get a feel for the band, and they've practically dissapeared off the face of the planet since it was released. I still hold out hopes of seeing them play live. If they could transfer the energy and structured brutality from this CD to the stage, that would be something to see...

Very Neat,

From the moment you open the jewel case, the thoughts running in your mind sum up "Whoa." this album is a 2.5 inch cd in a 5 inch format with a cool see thru design. This album is very different. I think it is a very fun listen. Burn in hell is my favorite track. The songs use very sub driving bass lines with hiphopish rhythms. The intentional clutter of sound makes the group really stand out. Check this album out!

such an awesome little ep,

the first time i listened to this awesome cd i thought, 'a focused version of mindless self indulgence with a nice dash of evil' this ep is absolutely amazing, the only thing better i can hope for is an album.

I'm someone who used to love industrial..that is until it seemed that all the new stuff out tehre had the same beat and was geared toward dancing but not much else..Knowing that, understand that I think this ep is frickin awesome!
I LOVE every song on this disc..but my favorits are easily nothings working and jack the ripper.. Get this if you miss frssh sounding acts in the dance saturated industrail scene..

I know this is bad to admit, but I usually do not purchase cd's anymore, with some exceptions like nails, tool, and APC. So I downloaded the tune Nothing's Working, And the same day I went out and bought this Ep. This is industrial perfection! I'm reminded of early nails meets Prodigy. I can't wait for a full album ,and hopefully a couple of Canadian Shows! This would make an interesting mosh pit. Buy this now, you will not be sorry, Enjoy!

Embrace the machine to love this disc.,
By Brett Lemke (www.maximumink.com) - See all my reviews

3-piece experimental all machine stripped down post-punk music with vocals, including Epitaph Records founder Brett Gurewitz. The album is an EP, and despite its brash and grinding beats it provides a unique combination of punk simplicity through drum machines and sonic blips. Though contradictory, the industrial effect will bash your cerebellum, and leave you wondering whether this project will ever will be the product of a live tour. The cover does itself justice; proclaiming to be "electro-hardcore-punk" Recorded and mixed down completely at Atticus Ross's house, it has the production akin to the darker of Ministry's work in the 1990s. Error is Atticus Ross, Leopold Ross, and Brett Gurewitz with mixed-in vocals by Gregg Puciatto. Definitely one of the more twisted EP's I have encountered simply due to its innate weirdness. If you like gothic or hardcore this is up your alley.

If you are a fan of NIN, or any other controlled chaos/industrial/punk electronic violence, you will love this. Trust me-I'm extremely picky when it comes to these things. Although a very minimal amount of music, clocking in at around 15 minutes, this EP is worth every penny. This is one of the few new CDs out that has actually managed to spark my enthusiasm. The energy and rhythm on the whole are superb, especially on "Burn in Hell."
