This CD contains all of the limited edition hand signed works on paper done by the artist Erte throughout his illustrious career. These works have been reproduced in the books "Erte at Ninety", "Erte at Ninety-Five the Extended Edition" and "Erte The Last Works". All together there are 408 works on paper included on the CD. More than all of the graphic reproductions in all three of those sold out books. A great value financially and historically.

Not worthy of Erte's works.,

I am a lifelong fan of Erte and the Art-Deco style. To be sure, Erte was a master in his medium, wether it was in fashion design or illustration, he captured the living essence of the mode.However, after singing the praises of Erte, I must hit hard upon the faults of this compilation. I expected a CD full of stand-alone images and the like, what I got was not the case and not satisfactory at all. The CD is nothing more than a collection of, what looks like, photographs of Erte's work. Bad photos that have been shrunk down to where 80% of the intricate detail Erte is known for is utterly destroyed in a heavily-pixelated mess. You can't veiw the images outside the lame, low-quality Flash program; no way to resize the images, either. To be honest, the only images that are clear and detailed are on the covers of the CD. This is completely unacceptable as either an Image gallery or a tool for artists. I have gotten superior image quality off Google searches. If you are a fan of Erte or Art Deco avoid this waste of money.

To be remembered as an artist is one of my life's dreams. Erte was an artist, in the true sense of the word. His works are a visual masterpiece of beauty and grace. This collection of his works is something that can be called simply amazing. His art captures a decade that still reverberates through time, and one that can be appreciated in this new millenium. This cd-rom connects two worlds, the art of yesterday and the technology of today. Perhaps with this melding, a new way to see art has been created.
