Excellent book of a brilliant photo-exposition, edited in a terrific quality. Recommended for all picture-addicts who want to experience the 1950-1960years. Nostalgic and very elaborated. Olaf is a very dedicated photographer of the sign of the times.

This collection of Erwin Olaf photographs screams "pretty with a touch of sadness."
While from several series the shots all have the same tenor as the cover. In that regard, it's interesting seeing Olaf's aesthetic run through multiple shoots. Importantly, this *does not* contain any of Olaf's more shocking work - at most there are hints of longing and lust. For that, consider Olaf's "Silver" - it makes a good counterpoint to these images. |
