Musik, Musik, wonderfull Musik unmatched beautifull ballads like "wenn der Abend kommt" truly can change your life. It was discussed with Al Jareau and I think he has the same opinion.

This is one of the best CD's that I own. Good tracks from start to end, as is to be expected of Helge and his band Hardcore.

Well I guess my last review was "questionable" in nature.,

If you want an accurate portrayal of German pop culture, buy this CD. Gone are the days of Wagner; Helga Schneider is here to stay. "We Gotta Rock" is the "Deutschland Uber Alles" for this generation. Helga Schneider is the definitive German of the late 20th and early 21st century. Buy this CD, you wont be disapointed.

This Album Rocks Big Time,

I remember listening to this CD seven years ago in high school - it was great back then and it still rocks today. In many respects, it's Helge Schneider's best album (so far), although "Es gibt Reis" set a high standard. Of course, it's complete nonsense (Helge is all about nonsense), but if you want to get a sense of German "culture" today, there's no way around "Es rappelt im Karton." Track No. 7 ("Tropfsteinhöhle") and No. 12 ("Erziehung") have reached absolute "Kultstatus" in Germany. They are almost kafkaesque in the way they portray the world of the "small man."Needless to say, Helge and his band are also great jazz artists. He alone plays at least five or six instruments. I think I said enough: Buy the CD and judge for yourself!

Really funny... not just the CD but the reviews!,

I'm a German customer and I really laughed about the previous previews! I won't say that Helge Schneider made the new National Hymn for the next generation. In Germany he is one of the most beloved and most hated comedians around. I think it's difficult for Americans to understand the meanings of his jokes. The music is half good, half bad. But the humor is genius. You should buy this record when you listend to your German teacher :-)
