Janet Jacksons's 1989 hit Escapade with ten different versions, nine of which are remixes. Some of the mixes are basically extended versions of the album production, and then there the house mixes which have the 4/4 downbeat, bluesy piano and thick baseline.
At the time that this song was out, remixers were beginning to "wet their feet" with the concept of overhauling a song until there is nothing left of the original but the vocal. Shep Pettibone provides all the remixes here in both the original production and in house form.
