5.0 out of 5 stars Great story!
I love sci-fi and I really enjoyed reading this book. It has a very good story line and a good sense humor that made me laugh at times. The outcome wasn't what I expected, but the author got right down to it and didn't make me wait too long to ease the suspense. Can't wait to read Return 2 Earth, part 2 of Escape 2 Earth!

2.0 out of 5 stars Okay book
I was really looking forward to this book. It's a lot shorter than I expected. Only 147 pages. I didn't think it was very well written. There are a lot of typos. It seems like the author or editor didn't proof read it. It's a good story, but the author tries to build up suspense and you can see right through it. It seemed to be written at a middle school level...

How would the governments of our planet prepare six billion people for the end of the world? In the Sci Fi novel Escape 2 Earth 2012 they will try, but will they succeed?
Alien warnings embedded in our crop circles have gone unnoticed, until now. Governments around the globe race against time to evacuate billions of inhabitants from the planet due to the discovery that Earth will be destroyed in the year 2012, a mere eight years away. Where would we go? How would we get there? Who would be left behind? And why is one race of aliens plotting to keep us here? These are just a few of the questions and obstacles faced on this galactic odyssey by our trio of heroes in Escape 2 Earth. Matt, Will, and Art are reluctantly drawn into an adventure by a secret alien organization that will unlock the mysteries of Stonehenge, the White Pyramid of China, the Mayan calendar, and the Great Sphinx in a scramble to help save the human race.

This epic quest for Earth's survival takes you from the powdery pink morning skies on the planet Lazon to the subterranean cities under planet Vada and the Whistling forest. The battle between good and evil that began long ago in a far off galaxy is now being played out with the survival of mankind at stake. This sci-fi story is laced with a touch of telepathy, deception, and a murder or two. Discover the hidden alien base deep in the dark murky depths of the Marinas Trench, watch as the aliens prepare to celebrate at the Festival of Life. Who will survive the race to escape this doomed planet? It is anybody's guess. Who will Escape to Earth?

4.0 out of 5 stars great story, January 4, 2010
This review is from: Escape 2 Earth 2012 (Paperback)
I Loved this book. It is a very well thought out story that is extremely relevent for our times. Mr. Johnson has a firm grasp of his chosen genre and it's penchant for sudden plot shifts and unexpected surprises. I am looking forward to the sequal: Return 2 Earth (I know it is available in ebook format but I'm old fashioned and still enjoy the feel of the paper and the anticipation of turning the next page. I will upgrade to an e-reader when they can solve those problems.) I would have given this book 5 stars but the grammar was weak.

5.0 out of 5 stars Earth is near the end, June 15, 2006
This review is from: Escape 2 Earth 2012 (Paperback)
"Escape 2 Earth", by Lawrence Johnson was outstanding, excellent, something you can not put down until you are at the end. In addition, when you get to the end you will wonder what is going to happen next.
The book has many chapters that will keep your mind wondering how will I escape this earth we as humans' call home. I thought that I would not like a sci-fi book but this book is more than that it keeps your attention, with situations that we deal with in everyday life in this dreadful earth we call home. Also if you are looking for an escape from life for a minute than pick up the book it will be the escape you are looking for.

Heroes don't have to wear masks and capes--they can be us. The heroes of Escape 2 Earth get "drafted" into heroism and lead us into an exciting adventure that keeps you on the edge of your seat. A real page turner that keeps you entertained and thinking.

This is actually a good story, and had the potential to be a great story, but the "writing" got in the way--at least for this author. I have never had the misfortune of having to stagger through such a horrendous piece of work. The typos and misspelled words number in the THOUSANDS! No kidding. Then the sentences and paragraphs are all jumbled up together, strangely structured, jumping from one to another without transitions or breaks. The rules of grammar are all thrown out the window: quotation marks are used haphazardly, like whenever the writer remembered to use them or felt like using them, or what the heck, just leave them out altogether. Or write somebody's name one way then change the spelling in the next sentence! Man, where'd you learn to write? Are you even aware of the way you wrote this thing? To be honest with you, I'd be embarrassed to publish a thing like this. Jesus Christ, next time why don't you get some one to EDIT your manuscript, instead of publishing the FIRST DRAFT!

Escape 2 Earth is a well written book. It has an intriguing story line with several twist and turns. Not your average sci fi novel.
