This book was recommended to me by my best friend and I always trust her. I read the entire book the day I received it. It is easy to read and it is very straight forward. It even gets in your face a little, which is necessary for some who just simply don't get it. It shows you how you are seeing things (in a negative manner), and how to see the good in every situation, turning your life into a more positive experience. Most importantly, this book will let you know that you are not alone. There are millions of people suffering from negative lifestyle habits, but this book will teach you how to first recognize the core of the problem, how to look deeper into your life and how you can fix these things.
I also like how the author explains his own failings in life and how he turned it all around and how to focus on the greater goods.
In addition to this book, I would recommend viewing the dvd "The Secret" because it could really tie things together. Focus on what you want, not on what you don't want.

This is a must have in any collection of books!!! Brian's book will give you a good swift kick in the butt and help you to realize what REALLY is important to put energy and focus on in this lifetime, and to really appreciate the things you are so blessed to have! I love Brian's direct approach...I am one stubborn woman and it takes a lot to influence how I feel so if this book could do that for me it certainly can do it for you!!!

The book didn't say very much regarding his mother, just that she was in alot of pain? What kind of pain??? Was she loving,good,bad,ect...
Over all it was excellent reading!
Would recomend to a friend.
