4.0 out of 5 stars Escape From Monster Manor, December 9, 2010
= Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Escape from Monster Manor (Video Game)
Please keep in mind that this system (3D0) was the "Playstation" before the invention of the Playstation. It was (in it's day) amazing. Nothing came close to the graphics or the price. I bought my 3D0 for $800.00 and paid up to $79.95 each for some of the games and it was well worth it. This was back when my wife and I both made a whopping $4.65 an hour each at the processing plant.

Escape from monster manor was one of the two games that I played the most on this great system. Cool, creepy music and things coming at you from out of nowhere made this a GREAT game to play all alone in a very dark room. The only game that came close to it was Space Hulk (another great game with a cool feature that limited the time you could pause the game). I still have (and play) my 3D0 and would not part with it. Games like Wing Commander Heart Of The Tiger, Twisted, & a few others made this system one that should go down in history as a leader in technology. Their only problems were 1.) Games were difficult to program so titles were limited and 2.) They way over-priced their system. By overpricing their system, many people did not buy it. Not many owners made for very expensive software and few titles. These few bad decisions eventually ended up killing a system that was meant for great things.

If you still own a 3D0 and do not own this game, I highly recommend buying it. It provides hours and hours of gameplay and is just good fun.

If this were to come out on one of my systems today (PS3, Wii, or Xbox 360) I would buy it in a heartbeat even if the graphics were not improved any over the original. It was that cool.
