Great suspense, but it was Will & Dani who stole my heart!,
By
This review is from: Escape to Morning (Team Hope Series #2) (Paperback)
Dannette (Dani) Lundeen is a Search and Rescue worker who is more than capable of handling herself in difficult situations. Will Masterson, Homeland Security agent currently undercover as a reporter, is immediately impressed by her.
Dani however, does not think very highly of reporters, so Will has an uphill battle on his hands to get past Dani's defenses. But when Dani begins an independent search for a missing teenage girl in the woods near the Canadian border and runs into Will, also looking for the same girl, she wonders why a reporter is so determined to help with the search. And Will is bound to keep the truth from her. Dani & Will quickly found a special place in my heart. Their personal & spiritual journey's were ones I recognized in my own life. Will is trying so hard to learn how to be "God's man." And Dani thinks she has a solid relationship with the Lord, until she begins to realize that there are some areas of her life she has not really trusted Him with. Susan does a wonderful job weaving spiritual truths into a suspenseful storyline.

Loved it!,

Couldn't put it down! I have a love/hate relationship with writers that get you so into the story that you panic when the characters panic, etc. Worse yet is when you cannot put it down...you try to rationalize with yourself that it will still be there in the morning (it's 3am and you have to get up at 6am) and that it won't change if you close the book for a few hours of shut eye.
Loved it! I own/have read every book Susan has written. I have loaned several out and have had to purchace replacements because no one wants to give them back! -Bis

I truly enjoyed the book that was about helping others out and putting their needs first while doing some really dangerous things and knowing the Lord was with them.

Escape To Morning is a wonderful book full of intrigue and danger and romance. Living on the Canadian border as I do, brought this book to life for me.......I could picture Fadima running though the woods with Will and Dannette tracking her!
What a wonderful story. It is a must read! Way to go Susan.

What an adventure of danger, intrigue, romance and suspense Susan May Warren can weave. She has such a easy writing style to read. Escape to Morning is the second book in the Team Hope series and just as good as the First (Flee the Night). I highly recommend this book. It is a keeper for me. Also wanted to mention that if you go to her website she has a link for a free read called "Waiting for Dawn". This gives some good background to the stories and how everyone fits in. I would call it a prequel.
Susan has done great job. I am soooo looking forward to Expect the Sunrise due out in March 2006. I wish Susan could write faster!!!!

He hopes his lies will save lives...,

Undercover as a local reporter, Homeland Security Agent Will Masterson is searching for a dangerous terrorist cell, Hayata. When Will's partner is killed before they can intercept a package needed to help a defecting general, he's left to find it on his own. Unfortunately, the package comes in the form of General Nazar's teenage daughter. Escaping Hayata, Fadima Nazar is hiding somewhere in the woods running from the pursuing terrorists.
As a Search and Rescue worker, Dannette Lundeen, finds herself involved with finding a young girl who has been reportedly lost in the woods. Complicating Dani's search is an annoying reporter, Will, who insists on teaming up with her to look for the girl. Despite her mistrust of Will, she allows him to help as they race against time to find Fadima. Although Will feels bad about keeping Dani in the dark about his real reasons for aiding her, as well as his real job, he knows that saving the girls life depends on his silence... Escape to Morning, the second book in the Team Hope series, was a very enjoyable read. Susan May Warren once again delivers a romantic suspense novel that keeps you engaged the whole way through. I'm always excited when I see she has come out with a new book. I don't think Warren has written a book that I didn't like yet.

Warren is one of my favorite authors. Her expertise at writing a christian romantic supense is bar none. I would highly recommend anything in this genre she writes. The flow of the christian references does not interfere with the story for those of you who don't like that part of a novel. For me, as a christian, without the biblical references and talk I find a book empty of purpose. Why are they striving so hard? to what end? if not for a higher goal, to better themselves, or find redemption. This book, in light of the 9-11 anniversary, is very pertinent and enlightening. The fact that the hero works for homeland security undercover gives a lot of tension to the interaction between him and the heroine. I like the involvement of the professional dogs. Lastly, her titles always have relevance and it is revealing to find the secret imbedded in the climax of the story. I highly recommend this series of Team Hope and suggest you read them in order for them to make sense. However, this book can stand alone. I just like knowing more about the characters who have come before. I also have read 2 other of Susan's series and I highly recommend anything she writes.

I loved the first book in this series and this one did not let me down! This was a wonderful, romantic Christian suspense novel.
Will and Dani are great characters that you truly want to get to know. I really like how Will developed and thought that was a great addition to this book. Definitely a close look at how to develop into a Christian. Take the time to read this entire series - you will be glad you did! |
